Quiet, simple, beautiful location. Bring groceries. WiFi iffy but sometimes okay. Great place to unplug, explore an old hilltop town, hiking nearby - all the way to cinque terra (3hrs) - also a van will take you and drop you off early morning and pick you up evening time for fee. La Spezia about 20mins away - can park car at train station there and train in to cinque terra - or take ferry from there. Slow down - relax - enjoy! Stayed in 3 bedroom annex ground floor short walk from parking - spacious, everything needed to cook, place was clean. Hotel has other options.

Great location right in front of the beach in Vernazza. The room was lovely we had private room with bathroom. It was spotless. The room was cleaned every day and towels replaced. The staff were so nice and friendly. They have us suggestions for a festival that was on nearby too that we wouldn't have known about. If in Vernazza again I would stay here. There is no lift but staff will help with bags if you need and the exercise is good after all the eating!

The property is conveniently very close to the train station. It is very clean and the staff are great, especially Evelyn who went over and beyond to help us print our train tickets for us. She also facilitated an early check in for us. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony, and it was great to sit out there enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the world go by. There is also a restaurant downstairs where we had drinks and snacks too. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pastries. The hotel operates an honesty system for drinks, and this is very handy if you need a drink and do not wish to go out. It is very easy to reach the beach area by just walking out of the hotel, past the train station and onto the main street all the way to the water. Although the train station is very close, we were not affected by the passing trains at all. In fact, we quite enjoyed watching them from our quint balcony! There are a few outdoor areas to sit and relax. However, were there in the cold weather and did not get the opprtunity to do so. We were really made to feel at home at the Pensione Sorriso, and we will happily return should next time we are in 5Terre.

The location and cleanliness were our priority. The staff behind the desk, the breakfast crew even the cleaning team were all super friendly and very obliging. The reception staff even helped with calling and sorting out an issue that we had overlooked when booking a rent a car in La Spezia.

We stayed 3 days and Andrea was really helpful. We definitely recommend this place.

This is a gem! If you are looking to get away from the super-crazy and crowded touristic paths of Cinque Terre, this is the place to find serenity and a genuine atmosphere. The small guesthouse is run by a sister and brother who have put their soul and heart into building up a newly modeled house with all amenities you need and a beautiful roof terrace where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view over the sea and the next village Manarola. The room was spotless and clean and much nicer than most 4 star hotel rooms we stayed at during our trip, and equipped with a modern shower in a large bathroom. Not to mention the fabulous breakfast prepared for us in the morning, fresh orange juice and the best coffee (such things are importantly) and even a todays special, many times prepared with fresh fruit and vegetables from their own garden. The location in Corniglia is great, just outside the center with several good restaurants. Don’t miss out on having dinner at the small square in the middle of all houses! There is a shuttle bus taking you up and down to the railway station unless you fancy climbing the 386 stairs to the top. It was really a good place to have as the base for our stay. Our recommendation is really to stay in Corniglia to get away from the crowds and then take daily tours to the other villages. Communication with the facility owners was great and easy with WhatsApp and we really felt heartily welcomed and well taken care of during the whole stay.
