AustraliaLoved this accommodation in Ponza! The host was so friendly and welcoming and my room was fantastic, with a gorgeous view too. Breakfast was also really great with lots of options. And the location is walking distance to the port! Would definitely stay here again during my next visit to Ponza :)

FranceWe arrived very open minded - our first visit to Ponza turned out to be an amazing holiday. Rooms are nice, not very big, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. A good breakfast is offered in a beautiful garden (the best torta di mele), excellent choice of fresh frutis, cold cuts, eggs… needless to say, excellent coffee. But, above everything, friendly and helpful staff are the soul of the hotel…and the spa. Probably the best we have ever seen - so charming and so different than any other spa you will find in the world. What a jewel, we must be back….

A beautiful place.
A beautiful place. I would choose to stay in Le Forna next time, it seems a little less spoiled and also it would help me to avoid the vendors who try to take advantage of those who aren’t locals by setting their own prices for items.

The Island is magical, especially if you go out in a boat to...
The Island is magical, especially if you go out in a boat to swim or scuba dive, or explore the small beaches outside the town. However, smaller easier to ride scooters and not available--only big motorcycles. And cars are forbidden for tourists. So transportation can be a big problem unless you are entirely comfortable driving a big motorcycle.

Beyond gorgeous.
Beyond gorgeous. It’s a dream vacation spot and easily travelled by electric bike to all the beaches. Mostly Italian tourists which made it seem much more chilled out than other beach spots in Italy. Highly recommend

Hidden gem easy to reach from Rome.
You could do a day trip but so much nicer to stay the night and enjoy the evening vibe once the day trippers have left and sip Campari spritz as the sun goes down.
Lots of great restaurants to eat.
I stayed one night and could have easily stayed another day or two to do more exploring

Small island with a lot of secret history.
Small island with a lot of secret history. We visited the Roman cisterns and the botanical Garden as well as taking a boat trip out to neighboring island--uninhabited-- of Zannone. Attractive little shops in Porto the main town and very good restaurants, as this place caters to Italians--very few foreign visitors. Very good bus service races up and down the island, depositing people above the best beaches, which are a long way down!
NB Mainly fish on offer.

Beautiful island with breathtaking views.
Beautiful island with breathtaking views. The sea is multicolor, the water was so clear and beautiful.
I recommend taking a hotel near the port, as most of the life was there, however it wasn't too crowded and it was so pleasant to walk around.
I recommend a cruise around the island (we took one with Cooperativa Barcaioli Ponzesi), we had really great time and there was lunch on board.
Just a couple of things to keep in mind:
1- The island is quite uphill from the port, therefore when booking a hotel, even though it says that it's only 10-15 minutes walk from the port, there good chances that it is uphill, so you must be quite fit. Of course the view from uphill is so beautiful, and totally worth it, but not the most comfortable option. As there are a lot of stairs to go up, taxis may not get you exactly where you need to go. If you have mobility problems or you are unfit, please speak with the hotel to ensure that it is the right one for you, otherwise you may choose a hotel in front of the port.
2- The island is quite pricey, definitely more expensive than average in Italy. A coke was 4€, and a small bottle of beer 7€. Average meal with one main course and a glass of wine was about 35€.

The hotel was very clean. The rooms where perfect. It is a gorgeous hotel. The manager was very helpful and polite, the bar staff were lovely, as were the receptionists. The breakfast provided lots of choice and was perfect, again the staff were really pleasant. The spa pool itself was a lovely experience.

The staff working at the reception was absolutely delightful and so helpful. The breakfast spread is delicious along with the very friendly baristas. We loved our little room and felt it was very comfortable and well decorated! The location is amazing with a really nice feel to the hotel overall.

The hotel was in a great location for glorious sunset views and they had such friendly staff. Breakfast was also incredibly delicious. It made it very hard to want to leave the hotel because you just wanted to stay there the whole time.
