We had a warm welcome and good rest after a long and hot day cycling. Maria Grazia is really kind and makes you feel at home. There is a good supermarket nearby and the pizzeria in the village was delicious.

We loved everything about it, the location was tranquil but still very close to the lovely village of Gavoi. The hosts were just delightful. The evening meal, which could be booked on request, was homemade, local, and one of the best meals we’ve had! The breakfast was equally delicious. Thanks!

I chose this village specifically for a wine-tasting experience, and it truly did not disappoint—both in terms of my overall stay and the charm of the village itself. Pros: 1. Immaculate and well-equipped room – Everything felt new, and the facilities were complete. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. 2. Fantastic wine-tasting experience – Alexandra and Lucas provided a wonderful tasting session, which was absolutely a highlight of my stay. It was well worth the value. 3. Delightful breakfast – For me, it was more than enough. Honestly, just having coffee and a fresh croissant already made my morning. 4. Warm and attentive hospitality – Alexandra was incredibly thoughtful and responsible. Despite our language differences, communication was never an issue. My only regret is that due to time constraints, I didn't get the chance to sit down for a drink with her. Overall, a memorable stay in a charming location—perfect for those who appreciate great hospitality and wine. Would definitely recommend!

Antonello was a most useful and kind host, who takes care of everything and reacts promptly to any question. Ollalai is a lovely village in Barbagia - not a region for those looking for vibrant nightlife and entertainment, but ideal for those seeking tranquility and silent nights. It is a good starting point to explore this part of Sardinia with many interesting villages. The LaPlaza is a small establishment, with very nicely furnished rooms that one would not expect in such a small place very much off the beaten tourist track. Having said that, the town boasts at least three bars, of which at least the Alto Bar can - in addition to be a popular place for the locals enjoying beer and football matches - offer delicious local food at moderate prices. It is also the place where breakfast is served, though the LaPlaza also has a very useful common kitchen/eating room with fridge, coffee machine, microwave etc. The rooms overlook the pleasant main square with the church and a small super-market. From here there is a less than hour walk to a nearby hill with an old monastery of St Basil, from where there are further mountain trails. We truly enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend LaPlaza.

The place was very clean and the hosts were very accommodating. My flight was delayed and they were the only thing that made my day positive. The breakfast was delicious and they were really nice to my toddler. Would definitely stay here again next time!

A really pleasant and comfortable place with a great vibe. Clean, spacious, fully equipped (and with style), nice terrace with a breath-taking view. The streets are a bit narrow to navigate in a car but there is a possibility to park in the garage. Very friendly and helpful hosts.
