The breakfast was fresh, after the first day the breakfast staff brought the coffee without asking, exactly as we asked it on the first day. The hotel was cleaned daily, with extremely comfortable beds. In a central, yet quiet location, it was great to sleep and relax. The air conditioner also worked properly in the room. For our part, it's more of a 4-star hotel than a 3-star one. From Sassari, we were able to visit the main attractions, La Pelosa, Porto Torres, Asinara, Alghero, etc., the bus station was a 20-minute walk away. 24-hour concierge service with friendly and very helpful staff. This accommodation was an excellent choice for us, it represented the classic elegance.

Everything was very clean and well kept. You can see that the host did her best and thought of everything (3 towels per person, bottles of water etc.). Even though the bathroom was outside the room it was very close and comfortable. The property is not located in the city center but the walk there is short and easy. I’d very much recommend you stay there.

Sassari old town is very charming, nice buildings with that...

Sassari old town is very charming, nice buildings with that worn down Mediterranean look. It's also quite vibrant, being an university town, so lots of young people around. I also recommend it for the Cavalcata, it's a once a year event, around mid May, a parade showcasing the beauty of traditional Sardinian dress from different regions, as well as folk musing, dancing and a horse ride parade. Unique experience, highly recommend it.

Beautiful city, much cheaper to eat and drink out than in the coastal towns. Plenty to explore, shopping, historical buildings and churches. Excellent array of restaurants and bars. Hypermarkets on the outskirts for anything that you might need.

Sassari is a bit of a hidden gem.

Sassari is a bit of a hidden gem. I feel like most travelers probably go for Alghero or more touristy places along the coast, but are missing out on visiting Sassari. There are cafes and restaurants at every turn and the locals are out in force in the evenings. It makes for a lively and festive scene. Music is also important for the city and the summer is full of various music events and festivals, plus gastronomic events too! Take a little side trip and head over to Sassari for a day or two.

Beautiful spotlessly clean inner city with amazing...

Beautiful spotlessly clean inner city with amazing architecture steeped in history however you need to go right into Piazza d’Italia and immediate cobblestone streets to appreciate this as the surrounding areas are unkempt and graffiti laden, not the place for “modern street art” in my opinion, taking away from the beauty of the historical buildings.

During our stay my partner and I didn’t take the time to explore the city of Sassari. But during the evenings we did enjoy going to a couple nice restraunts. We did enjoy using the public transportation to visit other cities but overall sassari is a very calm place to stay and very close to the north western part of the island.

Not a real tourist town but with a nice old centre (small streets, high houses, colorful facades). When we visited it (late afternoon + early evening first week of May), it was extremely quiet - some squares seemed totally deserted - which created a weird atmosphere. Scene and streets got more livelier around Piazza d'Italia and University but not what you might expect from a city with >100.000 inhabitants. Conclusion: nice but not unmissable.

Location, everything by the hand, very helpfull owner. Our plans changed, so we traveled our 1st part by bus and it turned out even better, so we could explore the streets of Sassari by foot. The owner is really helpfull with all the tips. The appartment is small, but cozy. We had some time to cook and didn't miss anything in our 3 nights stay.
