I liked everything in the hotel, but the most distinguished experience was the staff. I stayed one night simply because I am in love with Scilla, they helped me a lot at the arrival and even in the morning, and also talked about other things, they are really nice. I am going to return!

This is a truly wonderful and unique hotel, sitting directly at the water’s edge. The views from our room out to sea were spectacular. Everything at this hotel was perfect; the warm and generous staff, the great breakfast, the location, the clean and comfortable room. We will definitely return.

Spectacular setting with 3 "dimensions": Beach area, fishing village around the hill by the sea and old town up the steep hill. Climbing up and down the stairs a bit challenging but views worth the effort.

A delightful little town with an old castle and picturesque views. Not many shops around in the center, however. Only found one farmacia and one supermarket other than a small alimentari. Great Lidos on the beach where one can eat and drink while enjoying the beach with sun beds and umbrellas for 10 euros for two.

Scilla was a nice small seaside town away from the hustle...

Scilla was a nice small seaside town away from the hustle and bustle of a city. I visited in April, which is off season and the weather was perfect. The nighttime temps were cool and refreshing and the daytime was nice and pleasantly warm. The water was too cold to swim in, but I did wade along the shore a bit. The town was quaint and inviting and everyone I spoke with was kind.

Lovely town.

Lovely town. Many of the beach/Chianalea tourist-targeted businesses close in the autumn but there are still plenty of places to eat and the weather is perfect (25-27C and sunny when we were there mid-October) for exploring the region. There's a train station to take you south to Reggio Calabria or north to the pretty town of Tropea (recommended!).

The views across Scilla as well as the sea views and bay...

The views across Scilla as well as the sea views and bay views are all very beautiful. Scilla is on a hillside so expect lots of paths and steps as you explore Scilla. The lift near Bar Roxy on the beach takes you right up to the piazza and a cappuccino, or a pizza from Pizza Scilla. There are places to eat along the beach and in Scilla. Do try the local swordfish panini! Delicious.

Hotel Krataiis is a 10 minute easy walk from the train station so was very convenient for us. It us also 2 minutes to the beach and close to the steps to the top town and also the old town. The hotel is exceptionally clean and has everything required. The room was large and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was extensive and very enjoyable. We loved the stunning beaches, views and town of Scilla. We so hope we get to return to Scilla one day and we will again book Hotel Krataiis.

The hotel room had one of the most amazing views you can imagine—truly the best there is. The breakfast was also really nice, and you can take it out to enjoy on the balcony. Laura, the owner, is incredibly kind and welcoming, and she helped us with everything we needed. Would love too come back!

Really enjoyed our short stay in Scilla at Nest. The room was small but cosy and had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was stunning but what made it extra special was our host Gabriele, who helped us with the parking and welcomed us into his beautiful home he build. Grazie Mille!
