There is really nothing here, and the food is the same in all restaurants. Great seafood, everything else is super boring.
You need a car if you want to stay in this area, everything is miles away.

The beaches around Sorso are what attracts us year to year.
The beaches around Sorso are what attracts us year to year. Sorso is difficult to drive in as it is a bit of a maze, wit narrow streets and one way system.
The best shop appears to be Eurospin, where most daily essentials are available at a reasonable price.
Sorso town is fairly basic, but it is in an area of outstanding beauty.

Sorso is a great place to stay for making day trips to Alghero, Sassari, Castelsardo or Porto Torres. Castelsardo and Porto Torres are short trips by car. For 1 euro you can take the train into Sassari. For 3,70 euro you can go round trip to Alghero.

Attico Asinara is a lovely house located just outside the city, surrounded by a beautiful garden. The area is very safe and offers stunning views of the sea, especially at sunset. We had a wonderful and comfortable stay, enjoying both the peaceful atmosphere and the excellent hospitality. Pietro was a great host and provided outstanding service throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place and would be happy to return in the future.

The atmosphere of the hotel was really nice. It is at the center of a big pine tree garden with a really nice pool. The staff were really nice and helpful. We liked the breakfast dining area. There was free parking space for our car. The room was spacious and we had a private terrace, although we didn’t use.

Everything! The accommodation was extremely spacious and beautiful. Hosts were so friendly, delicious breakfast, great location. Loved Sorso itself (felt so homely and special) Easy to access many surrounding areas like Sassari, Porto Tores and Castlesardo. Would highly recommend this!

We loved this place and Giovanni was an excellent host. You do need a car, but Sorso is a small, authentic town in close proximity to many sites and well worth the visit. Would happily stay here again.
