The amazing SPA, the lovely staff and the style

A cozy and very clean room with a fully equipped kitchen in the center of Subiaco and close to the river and beautiful hiking trails in nature. The owners are available and happy to help. It is highly recommended!

The location Is in the Heart of the ancient Borgo dei Cartai, near the River and close to the main activities in Town. The building itself, completely renovated and fully refurbished , is mentioned in almost every museum, as part of the Paper Factory in the Middle Age era. The welcome was exceptionally warm and kind: we couldn't expect anything better. Super

New and clean room and bathroom. Supportive mattress with very comfortable duvet. However the real charm lies in the villa's beautiful grounds and the room's patio, where you can soak in fresh air and sunset views. The hosts were so gracious and helpful, while never intrusive. They took the time to recommend excellent local restaurants (no easy feat on a Monday), and even personally called to check availability and secure us a table as it was getting late. They thoughtfully asked if we preferred sweet or savory items (a welcome touch for some non-Italian guests who are not used to a sweet breakfast). Breakfast portions were honestly too generous. The slightly higher room price than other options in Subiaco is more than justified for the modern comforts, serene setting and outstanding genuine hospitality. While this is meant to be an accommodation review, the town of Subiaco itself proved to be a wonderful and unexpected stop on our travels (not sure how known it is domestically, but it is certainly not very famous internationally). Its crown jewel is the Abbey of St. Benedict (Sacro Speco), a stunning monastery literally carved out from the side of a mountain. Topping it off was an unexpected treat at the Laghetto just 8 minutes away by car. Wading in the gentle river's ice-cold water, with a view of the cascading waterfall while surrounded by lush greenery, was the perfect refreshment from the searing summer heat (who needs a chlorinated hotel pool when you have natural spring water?). Considering the relatively small size of this town, its restaurants also more than held their own against those tried in other areas. All this to say: Subiaco is well worth a deliberate detour, and when you go, make sure to stay at il Leccio.

A true hidden gem in the heart of the mountains. The garden is spacious and beautifully arranged, with cozy seating corners thoughtfully placed throughout. Valentina has thought of every little detail – from a stunning outdoor shower and bathtub, a projector with a screen for movie nights, a jacuzzi, and BBQ areas, to a fully equipped cabin with a picnic basket, fresh fruit, beers in the fridge, a coffee machine, and all the essentials in the bathroom. She even left marshmallows for us to roast by the fire. You can really feel how much care and attention she puts into everything. Her hospitality goes far beyond what we’ve experienced in other places. As a couple, it felt peaceful, romantic, and like the perfect place to slow down and recharge. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special and relaxing getaway.

Very comfortable and clean in an exceptional location - I could hear the river nearby - which was quiet but also central. Thorougly reccomended - as is Subiaco.
