We travel by bike. The bikes can be stores in a secured garage. Very safe. We also could clean the bikes completely after we ran into a very mudy track. The owner is very nice and helpfull

Ricardo, the owner was accommodating to our request to check in at 11pm though we ended checking in at 6pm. Other accommodations near Teatro Silenzio refused check in after 7pm. Breakfast was great offering lots of selection and wide choice of barrista coffee. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious and convenient since we were rushing to watch the Bocceli concert 15kms away. The waitresses were also friendly and accommodating.

We had an exceptional time at le Volpaie not only because of the beautiful and very well maintained place, but mainly because of Maximiliano and Steffano who manage the hotel with great passion and hospitality. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. The breakfast is a perfect mix of Italian sweets and everything you would expect from a European breakfast. Max and Steffano make sure everyone is satisfied and the buffet is full throughout breakfast time. For dinner, the nearby osteria with handmade pasta and great secondi piati is an absolute must. Since we came by bike and there was no bus to San Gimingano, we were also able to experience the beautiful pool area, which is great for relaxing. But as already mentioned, the exceptional service from Max and Steffano made this stay perfect. As the Osteria was closed on Wednesday, Max prepared a lovely lunch for us in the pergola by the pool with a selection of wine. When we had to leave the next day to go riding, they even provided us with a lunch box and ice cold water for the ride. It really felt like we were leaving a good friend's house. All in all, we can only recommend a stay at Le Volpaie as it is a beautiful place with a truly exceptional service that goes the extra mile for the customer. We will definitely be back!
