The hostess was very welcoming and helpfup. The hotel is perfectly situated after the entrance gates to Volterra and just a short walk up to the main square. The breakfast was a beautiful experience. The hostess ensured we had our own private family table. The food was fresh with many options and coffee to our liking. The decor and rooms have beautiful old century touches with modern amenities (nice bathroom and shower). Beds were huge and fit a family of 4 comfortably. Our taxi was arranged seamlessly on a Sunday as we had no options for public transportation.

The place is run by lovely owners who put whole heart in this house. We were guided where to go, owner had the maps and guides prepared for us and it helped a lot with the sighseeing plan that we changed after considering all tips. The room was super clean and well-kept. We could choose among the different kind of pillows and extra layer of mattress was offered to us. The breakfast was incredible, we tried local products: honey from Volterra, peccorino cheese, susages, several warm dishes, tasty coffee and the cakes made by the owner's wife herself (!!!). The view from propery is insane and you can hear the birds singing in the morning.
