Excellent service and very kind personnel overall. Very nice spa with both sauna and turkish bath, with a nice indoor pool. There was an outside pool as well but it was out of season so could not be used. The breakfast was of high quality. Parking is for free and behind the room so you could enter from the terrace as well.

We spent a night here as a family while on a stopover. The reception staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms we had were small but very clean and pleasant. The surroundings are simply magnificent, with a breathtaking Italian garden overlooking Lake Varese. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was simple and delicious.

Super modern apartment. Extremely clean. Comfortable bed. Excellent host. Loved the Italian building with marbled, spiral staircase leading up to the apartment. Shame we only had 1 night here as we were passing through and Varese looks beautiful. Would definitely stay again. Excellent value for money.

Villa Cagnola is not in Varese but 6 kms outside the town.

Villa Cagnola is not in Varese but 6 kms outside the town. If you are just passing through on an overnight stop then you need time to see the city. We walked to the nearest restaurant and had a very good dinner, beautifully served. This was in Gazzada.

We traveled with our little dog throughout Europe but the...

We traveled with our little dog throughout Europe but the staff at Varese made us feel at home and fell in love with our dog named Leonardo which opened up our hearts for the staff and the hotel. We were just minutes away from visiting the famous "Villa Panza" and the famous collection of many of his Arts. Wonderful shopping experience just down the street and yet the hotel was secluded and private.

a wonderful place with so much to do - the sacre monte, lots...

a wonderful place with so much to do - the sacre monte, lots and lots of historic gardens, in walking distance the Villa Panza with amazing art and gardens - have lunch there it is fabulous. Also just staying by the pool with its views is amazing it's a shame it closes it 7pm - it really warrants longer hours.

Despite traveling to Italy yearly, I had never visited...

Despite traveling to Italy yearly, I had never visited Varese until now. I was initially hesitant to stay in Varese since I needed to be within an hour from Milan for the Salone del Mobile, but I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the city. Varese was vibrant both during the day and at night, with a plethora of excellent restaurants and cafes to explore. Its proximity to the stunning lakes of Como and Varese was also a huge plus. The sight of the snow-covered Alps provided a picturesque backdrop that made Varese even more special. The charming cobbled streets in the city center were lined with pretty buildings that showcased the history of the area. Although we only stayed for two days, I could have easily extended my stay for a week or more.
