The room and bathroom were very spacious. The bathroom has a jet tub. They even provide a facial mask and some cosmetic care products. Free covered parking. Very reasonable rates!

It’s a very big property as it includes the entire courtyard. Rooms were clean and it’s strategically located along the old town which makes it great to explore. Further, there was even tea tasting provided and a nice tea bag to be used for bath! Overall we had a lot of fun even though we only stayed for one night.

Great friendly staff. Used translator as they had little English. Located next to rail station but no noise. Room was large for Japanese standards.Breakfast very generous and delicious. Have stayed at 4 other HRI and all brilliant.

I had never been to Yanagawa before, so I didn't know what to expect, but this hotel was excellent. I'll just create a bullet point list of what I enjoyed: - The hotel is very modern, clean, comfortable, and orderly - The staff were all extremely friendly, professional, helpful, and efficient - Building off of the point above, this is very accessible for a non-Japanese English-speaker like myself - The location is extremely convenient - you're only a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest subway station - In addition to the point above, there is a boat tour company that is literally 2 doors down, maybe a 60-second walk max, and they offer a free shuttle to bring you back afterwards - In the lobby next to the check-in counter, there are free drinks available all throughout the day, including a Pepsi soda machine, champagne, and coffee - The density of convenience stores is obviously significantly less than in major cities like Tokyo or Osaka, but there is a nice new Lawson just 5 minutes away (next to the subway station) - In the lounge next to the check-in counter on the left-hand side near the elevator are two vending machines as well as a shelf generously filled with free individually packaged amenities, including cotton swabs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and much, much more - There are tons of great mom-and-pop restaurants within a few minutes' walk, as well as some cool clothing stores in the nearby intersection... Yanagawa is fun to explore! - The bed is great, the shower is fantastic, the air conditioner is easy to use... It's all A+ One last thing I want to note is that there is an extremely negligible tourist tax that I was asked to pay upon check-in. I believe it's 200 JPY per night. I just wanted to note this as I was unsure if I had paid it already when I reserved my room on Booking.com or if I had to pay it upon check-in, so there's your answer! I loved this hotel and would love to return one day! :)

Lovely and traditional place to stay in yanagawa. Lots of space and lovely staff.

Truly a hidden gem. We stayed for a night and were pleasantly surprised to find out that there’s a pottery shop and a kiln within the same compound. The hosts even gave us some rice and chestnuts from the farm to try. It didn’t feel like we’re just staying there, but we’re welcomed to their village. The most memorable stay in our Japan trip - hands down.

Really special place. So much detail and depth in the rooms. Very helpful and friendly people. Come to Yame to experience the ‘real’ spirit of craft in Japan.

Our host was very helpful and friendly. When our pizza could not be delivered, she even went out of the way to go amd collect for us herself. The rooms are quaint and lacking for nothing. Many restaurants nearby and would love to visit again.
