Great mix of Japanese and modern style. Even thought it’s next to a road, this is not a problem since there is no traffic at night. Great place to stay several days, we could only enjoy one night. The host is super, always available for tips, speaks good English and provides snacks and noodles when arriving.

It was a great experience to stay the night in the middle of this remote village and feel and enjoy the creativity and calmness in the air. I felt very welcome at the Lodge. The place is very comfortable and homely and there is a lot of space. I recommend staying here to anybody interested in pottery and willing to take the time to explore. I travelled here using public transport, which was no issue. Additionally the hosts are very kind and knowledgeable – I enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know their story and more about the region. Additionally Gilles introduced me to one of the master potters of the village who kindly gave me a tour of his workshops. This made my stay unforgettable!

Amazing place, we stayed 3 nights as basecamp to visit the surrounding area. All installations were clean and brand new. Rooms were spacious and well-equipped. Shared space in the top floor with kitchen was amazing. Nice bathroom with bath and washing machine.
