We really enjoyed the traditional Japanese style of the hotel and the delicious breakfast. The hospitality was outstanding—the host was always available via texting, offering rides from the bus stop and helpful tips on what to do in the area. When we arrived in bad weather, he informed us that the cable cars were closed and recommended great alternatives. One of the absolute highlights was the amazing view of Mount Fuji, which we could enjoy both from our room and from the onsen. The onsen is located inside the hotel, so you don’t need to visit a public bath. The hotel is beautifully located near Lake Kawaguchi, providing picturesque scenery and easy access to local attractions by bus. The hosts were also very child-friendly—our son even received his own breakfast without any extra charge. The combination of stunning nature, traditional ambiance, and exceptional service made our stay truly unforgettable. Just be aware that the mountain roads in the area are quite narrow, and traffic jams can occur easily. It's good to plan a bit of extra time for travel!

A hidden gem in all of Hakone. We were welcomed by a modern adaptation of a traditional Japanese home. The hotel felt more like a home than a hotel facility, and all the automation around the bathrooms and lighting made everything ease in much easily. For us, everything was as clean as it gets. Spare towels were also provided, but the property is keen to help whenever needed. The balcony and garden made us enjoy early morning coffees and late night snacks in peace and silence. The double beds act more like one, and they are as comfortable as it gets. All of the appliances, from AC to the automated bathtub work perfectly, and the provided washing machine can come in handy. The neighborhood was very silent, as it is close to the end of the region. Being further away from the main areas is not a problem, as the famous Venetian Glass Museum ca be reached by foot in 20 minutes and there are plenty of bus connections available. Finally, the hotel provided numerous restaurant options nearby and the ones we tried were really great! The place is a must stay for couples, and we are looking forward to coming back to it in the future.

Beautiful hotel, conveniently located next to the bus stop. The room was very spacious and the private onsen an true highlight. Staff was super friendly and helpful - we forgot our earphones and they sent it to our next hotel immediately.

Great view, very clean and comfortable rooms.

Great view, very clean and comfortable rooms. The rooms are traditional Japanese-style rooms, which really allow you to experience the authentic atmosphere of Japan. We didn't have a shower in our room, but there was an onsen with shower facilities available. The onsen is separated for men and women, which makes it very convenient, and we never encountered anyone else while using it. The staff was extremely helpful: they picked us up from the bus stop and drove us to the station whenever needed so that we could explore the area. They also took us to a restaurant and a convenience store every evening. We really appreciated their hospitality and kindness.

Plan your day so that you don't miss the pirate ship (which departs every 45 minutes or so) and allow enough time to enjoy activities such as the Open Air Museum (a lot of fun, we could have spent another hour there if not rushing for the bus to get back before dark). The geomuseum at Odawara was really worthwhile - make sure to visit to appreciate the hot springs even more.
