Surrounded by countryside, this youth hostel offers breakfast buffets and wonderful mountain views. It lies between Schaan and Vaduz, a 5-minute drive from the Swiss border and the A13 motorway. Breakfast included! Helpful staff and nice local beer. Great surroundings to go for a walk, and trust me... there are more things to do/see in Liechtenstein than only the typical "Vaduz Castle" and its surroundings. You'll love it!
Only 656 feet from the Buchs Train Station and the main shopping street, the family-run Hotel Buchserhof enjoys a central location. It offers modern, rooms with attached bathroom with a flat-screen... Very nice place. Clean and good location. Great breakfast. Had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent.
Dating from 1380, this historic 4-star hotel is set amid vineyards in Liechtenstein’s capital city of Vaduz. The center is just a 3-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available. The room was extremely nice. Much larger than I expected. The location was convenient to the sights in Vaduz and the view of the castle from the room was spectacular.
Offering free access to the on-site fitness and spa center, Hotel City Buchs can be found in the center of town, just a 10-minute walk from the Buchs Train Station and only 2.5 mi from Liechtenstein's... Comfortable, cozy, clean; perfect place to stay ! I highly recommend !
The property has mountain views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. At Hotel Vaduzerhof, the rooms have a desk and a flat-screen TV. The hotel was well appointed and breakfast buffet was small but everything was good. The location is in the HEART of the Old Town and within walking distance to the bus and CityTrain. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful.
A beautiful little town that is very walker friendly. Take the hike to the castle - it's gorgeous and shaded. It is an expensive area so be prepared for the prices. The people are friendly and most speak excellent English.
Schaan is a small town, located just across the border from Buchs, Switzerland. It has a number of nice restaurants and is the hub for bus transportation in Liechtenstein. Thus, it affords the tourist quick access to the capital city of Vaduz and the many quaint, little towns in this tiny principality.
Used Schaan as a base to access Vaduz. Vaduz was worth seeing. Great views from the Castle (closed to visitors) Old Rhinebridge worth visiting 3 museums, cathedral worth visiting Some great shops. Many good restaurants. Like Switzerland,Liechtenstein is not cheap. Lacks the opulence the Hapsburgs provided elsewhere, but still worth a visit.

Liechtenstein is not a cheap place to visit. The hostel is also not cheap but it is well run. They offered dinner each night for extra money but the breakfast was satisfactory and was included in the price.
