This is a carefully designed small cottage. Compact but very comfortable. Out door sitting areas, stoned carved seats and bath tubs, swings, tree house nets. Kids loved it. We loved the peaceful nature and the calm environment.

Where to begin? The garden is absolutely beautiful—an ideal place to relax and unwind. The staff were wonderfully attentive and genuinely friendly, making us feel completely at home. Even though we stayed only one night, we left feeling deeply refreshed. The food was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children that booked three rooms at Bellwood. I had initially booked the hotel for the stunning views it offers, unfortunately we stayed during a cyclone. Despite this we had an amazing stay at Bellwood and it has become one of my personal favourite hotels of our stay. The hotel is beautiful with lovely large bedrooms and very comfortable beds. The staff were extremely fun and couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel is a an extra journey from Kandy but worth the extra travel for its quiet picturesque location. The journey to and from the hotel adds to the experience of visiting Sri Lanka

Tonny and his friend did a really awesome job! They did everything what we asked for. We could even choose what we would like for dinner and they showed us the local market where we could choose the vegetables which we would like to eat. They overwhelmed us with love, service and a lot of extra efforts! Thank you for all your work. We also loved the free water station (not bottled but the big cask thing)

The best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka! The people were amazing, the rooms were beautiful, and the food was even better. We also did a hiking tour with the hotel’s guide, which was an incredible experience. We highly recommend staying for at least two days — it takes about two hours to drive up the mountain, and you’ll want a full day to explore the beautiful surroundings.
