I discovered this place by chance whilst looking for somewhere to stay between Ella and Kandy. Sri Lankan towns are busy and quite polluted and I was desperate for some fresh air and peace and quiet. Suranjith and his team were very welcoming and ensured that I had 24 hours of perfect peace. The food was delicious. The setting was stunning and the room and view were magnificent.

This is a carefully designed small cottage. Compact but very comfortable. Out door sitting areas, stoned carved seats and bath tubs, swings, tree house nets. Kids loved it. We loved the peaceful nature and the calm environment.

The hotel is in the middle of the tea plantation with an incredible view. The staff is super kind and always available for any requests. The amenities are gorgeous and refined in all details, surrounded by a very well maintained garden. Dinner available (but you need to reserve) and breakfast was excellent. There’s also a lovely swing for instagram photos :) Would love to return!

It honestly felt like being in one of those mid jungle Safari camps surrounded by incredible wildlife. Monkeys passing through most afternoons, monitor lizards, wild peacock, soaring Eagles, giant squirrels and Chipmunk to name a few. The staff are so polite and can’t do enough for you. Also right next to Seaplane jetty on Victoria Lake Golf Course. 30 mins to south coast vs 7 hour drive. 20 mins from Pallekele Cricket stadium.

The best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka! The people were amazing, the rooms were beautiful, and the food was even better. We also did a hiking tour with the hotel’s guide, which was an incredible experience. We highly recommend staying for at least two days — it takes about two hours to drive up the mountain, and you’ll want a full day to explore the beautiful surroundings.
