Located a 5-minute drive from Lalla Takerkoust Lake, The Capaldi Hotel & Spa is a luxury hotel set in a 4-hectare land with olive trees. The hotel sits on an old vineyard with beautiful scenery. We had Atlas room and the view was truly magnificent, but from the garden, rooftop terrance, swimming pool, there are many places to admire the beauty of the place. Rooms are spread across several buildings in a large estate, which helps to make the place calm. The private cinema was a great hit with the kids. We also enjoyed the culinary experience there. The breakfast is Moroccan style but more sophisticated. Despite our worry that the meal menues, which change daily, might be limited, they came in a great variety of international cuisines and were delicious. We appreciated the personal touch of the chef who kindly accommodated our special requests. And speaking of the personal touch, the owners made us feel very welcome. The lady who did manicure and pedicure at the spa was very skilled and friendly. On the first night we reported that the shower was not hot, which was sorted out very quickly.
Situated in Lalla Takerkoust, 36 km from Takerkoust Barage Marrakech, Canyon Lodge features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. I’m not the one who writes reviews but I felt as if people need to know how excellent this place is! I literally could not fault this place at all and most of all it’s the owner (Emmanuel)of the lodge who will Go out of his way to make sure your stay is perfect. We got upgraded to a suite and the views were just breathtaking. Pictures definitely don’t do justice, it’s something you need to see and experience for yourself. I would highly recommend anyone to give this place a chance and they definitely won’t be disappointed. Thank you for the amazing stay (Emmanuel)

Featuring lake views, le Lodge du LAC offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and barbecue facilities, around 2.2 km from Takerkoust Barage Marrakech. Care taker team of Mohamed and Ahmed were brilliant. But there were a few issues which I feel all future guests must be aware of: 1. We were informed that our payment through Booking.com credit card was failing. We were asked to give a new credit card. We agreed, but they did not have a card machine and wanted to take picture of credit card. Well, We were not that naive to handover our credit card details. So, finally we had to to make two and a half hour trip to the city to withdraw thousands of MAD from an ATM. 2. All 4 bathrooms were stinking of bad smell. Probably blocked gutter. We were informed that it is because lake has receded and best they could do was to offer us fragrant sprays. They never arrived. 3. Two bathrooms had issues with hot water. Other too were slightly better. Bathrooms shower cubicles had rotten wood. Showers fixtures had seen better days. 4. Kitchen sink got blocked once. Which was fixed promptly in few hours by Ahmed. 5. Kitchen hon runs on gas cylinder. It ran out once and Ahmed replaced it with a fresh one in few minutes. 6. Villa is in a remote location. Getting our own car to the Villa was a challenge initially. Getting luggage down and up the skidding rocky soil was a health hazard. But Ahmed was kind enough to help is with our luggage. 7. Get a Maroc Telecom SIM card if you plan to stay here. Orange SIM did not have a stable connection here. 8. Kitchen dishes were in decent condition. But the cooking pots and pans were old with scratches. 9. View is stunning. Rooms were spacious and clean. 10. Village nearby offers basic amenities and restaurants.
