It's like a hidden gem, beautiful aesthetics and shout out to the lovely receptionist from Sri Lanka. Her customer service is exceptional. Loved my welcome drink. She even ensured I got my breakfast packed at 4am checkout.

The staff was super friendly and gave us the feeling of being part of one big family. We loved the perfect cup of cappuccino made by both of the barista's during breakfast. Everybody was thinking along to help us plan the perfect trip. We have had the best holiday and they were one of the reasons why.

The staff make casa birmula, they are so friendly and attentive, they make you feel like an old friend whilst still being professional , the hotel is spotless and it’s an easy ferry ride to Valletta

We loved everything about the property. We stayed there for 3 nights. The location was perfect and so close to the ferry as well as the bus stop. Beautiful view from the room and it was spacious with modern amenities. There are few other restaurants near by. The staff was very helpful and a girl at the cafe helped us to get a taxi to go to airport as well. Also showed us the ferry stop(dock) , bus stop and gave few travel tips as well. Surely made us feel home and would definitely come back

It was located perfectly - few minutes’ walk to Valleta, buses and ferries, without being too close to the touristy areas. The room was excellent, and the bathroom was very spacious. The team at the hotel was extremely helpful and attentive. And the rooftop is a treat :)

We spent one night here at the end of our 2 week vacation which was a good choice. We arrived early from a flight (9am) in low season which we communicated via the app and they had a room ready and let us check in. Instructions and a code were supplied via the app prior to arrival. Not only that, they let us go for the free breakfast after we checked in (which had an appetizer plate and a full menu - eggs Benedict, English breakfast etc). The guy checking us in was very friendly and even offered to get us a boxed breakfast we could take the next morning at our 5am departure. We walked to the nearby Neolithic ruins (30mins) and to the blue hole look out (10mins) but there are buses and the bolt/ubers pick you up if you want. We also spent time in the pool area, which is a small pool but has some fun jets to play with - there’s also a small sauna with Bluetooth and work out machines. There are a few restaurants nearby and in the hotel, most are on the more expensive side (we had a lobster pasta for 30 euro, but you could find a burger for 10 euros if you want) The hotel is small (11 rooms) but very modern and seemingly the only one in this small part of the island and was a great way to end our vacation.

Hotel was in amazing old building with all the amenities one can imagine. Room was very clean and comfortable . Breakfast was excellent. location was very nice. Staff were very helpful.

The best hotel I've ever been. Wow all staff is soooooooo kind and helpful they are willing to care about you anytime anywhere. I was so impressed and seriously everyone should stay here. Nice location, perfect room condition, super kind staff, good outside pool and inside, spa, massage, well decorated gardening etc

Loved the hotel- everything about it- the foyer, the cosy little lounge, the room and decor and of course the rooftop terrace- one of the reasons I chose the hotel.

We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, making it easy to get a taxi to go around and explore the area. The breakfast was very enjoyable, with a good selection to start the day. What stood out the most was the friendliness of the staff—they were always welcoming and helpful. Housekeeping did a great job, checking the room daily and replenishing anything we needed. The room amenities were also very convenient. There is a small fridge, microwave, sink, and basic dishes, which made it easy to prepare simple meals. Just note that there isn’t a cooker, but for light meals and snacks, the setup is perfect. Overall, a comfortable and practical stay with great service.

We loved that it was close to Valletta but not right in the centre. It was the perfect spot to explore the whole island from and super convenient to get to the airport from. The housekeeping staff were amazing, the turn down service was the best we’ve had and staff across the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves are beautiful and new.

We had a wonderful stay at Dar Barbara Suites. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, and everything was just perfect. The location was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend to stay here 😃

The restored Palazzo is the type of place that you love so much, you would want to keep as a secret just for yourself, but you can’t resist sharing with like minded people. The architecture is kept as much as possible true to the original 17-th century but with modern touches like the heated pool and air conditioning. The citrus trees scattered around the courtyard and garden make the atmosphere as Mediterranean and as romantic as it gets! Alexis, the owner is the perfect host. He made every request we had into a priority. He does this for everyone of his guests- I really don’t know how he manages to do this, but one can’t help but feel very special. The food was delicious, and we had the pleasure to chat with the chef in person. One more thing: There is something special about a place where the owner has the modesty to tell you: “ I’s small but it’s mine”.
