Offering water sports facilities and shuttle service, Athiri Beach Maldives is located in Dhigurah in the Ari Atoll Region. The location was perfect for what I had in mind. I could look at the beach from my room which looked exactly like the pictures. The staff and everyone affiliated with the property was really kind and helpful. They made me enjoy my stay to the fullest. The guides were also very patient and took very good care of me. I only wish I'd stayed longer.

Boutique Beach All Inclusive Diving Hotel is located in Dhigurah, an area famous marine protected area for whale shark and manta rays. Free Wifi is provided. The Hotel is open and the entire team is so careful with all Covid regulations and put a lot of effort in order to make you feel safe. The island is safe, clean and impressively beautiful. There is no alcohol because it is a local island and the culture is respected by the hotel, but trust me with all these amazing places and people you don’t miss it. There is no better place to be if you want to embrace the miracle of ocean life. The highly experienced staff took us to plenty whaleshark and manta dives. Everything in this wonderful hotel is about passion and love. We had a holiday with friends and we already miss these wonderful people! Romney, the owner is most of the time around, was constantly thoughtful for our needs and surprised us on many occasions. If you have the opportunity to get to know this highly intelligent and bright woman with a great heart - you are going to be amazed by her thoughtfulness for the environment, the community and her guests. The dive instructor, Mette is the best teacher in the world! SHE IS NOT GOING TO GO EASY ON YOU! She gives every student a tough time - she made us fully aware of the dangers of diving, of how to protect the ocean and most importantly- she showed us hidden beauties of the underwater world. She is one of the rare personalities who fit in their job that perfectly that she defines the highest standard. EVERYBODY WHO HAS THE OPPORTUNITY OF LEARNING TO DIVE OR TO IMPROVE HIS SKILLS WITH THIS WONDERFUL FISH HUMAN - WON A LOTTERY TICKET. WE LOVE HER AND WANT NO OTHER DIVE INSTRUCTOR AT ANY TIME. The chef is more than a cook - he knows how to play with taste and creates dishes with heart and passion. Watching this kind and humble man at his work warms your heart and makes your clothes thinner. Afzal, the manager is a magician - he planned our stay and solved any issues or requests we had in only seconds.
Located in Dhigurah, Ithaa Dhigurah has a garden, terrace and free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodations features a 24-hour front desk, room service and currency exchange for guests. We stayed at Ithaa in Jan 2021, during the covid pandemic which made everything a little more complicated, but our stay at Ithaa was great regardless! - Staff: everyone was very friendly, despite a limited level of English for some of them. Imran (the manager) was very helpful throughout, and great to chat with. - Food: we had the breakfast included (we chose the Maldivian option, but there was also a continental one available), which was very nice... although a little repetitive (the exact same every day). The other meals weren't available as the chef was stuck in Sri Lanka due to covid travel restrictions. However, they gave us good recommendations on where to go (our top pic: the local restaurant Shell). - Room: spacious, clean, modern (spotless bathroom, perfectly functioning A/C and fan, fridge, TV). We were lucky to be upstairs, where there's a great terrace. - Activities: they are linked with a diving center which we joined once to go see Whale sharks. They were both very nice and professional, and seemed much more respectful to the environment & animals than other boats we saw. - Self activities: We brought our own kayak, so we were able to go snorkel on our own, which was great - otherwise, only swimming to the reef could be dangerous due to currents. We saw that other guesthouses/sport centers seemed to rent kayaks, which we'd strongly recommend. Overall, a great stay - we'll make sure to come back if we're in Dhigurah again!

The bedroom was spacious, bathroom and shower were super comfortable and the little terrace very cozy Breakfast is the one I liked the most after visiting two other guesthouses in maldives Would recommend this place to anybody that would like to have a pleasant stay in dhigurah Thanks Hoodh and all the crew!
Offering a sun terrace and water sports facilities, the property is located in Dhigurah. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. White Sand Dhigurah Hotel together with the island itself was definitely the best choice we could have made. Hotel has great location it is basically between two beaches and in the front of the small jungle. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Very nice experience and one of the best holidays we had in this time of the year. Also one morning hotel staff surprised us with romantic breakfast on the beach... If you choose to visit Maldives we definitely recomend Dhigurah island and White Sand Dhigurah...
Within walking distance from Dhigurah's white sandy beach, TME Retreats offers modern rooms with air conditioning and an on-site restaurant serving Maldivian and Western dishes. Excellent place, everything clean, the staff very friendly, excellent location !!
It’s better to have your expectations / trips / excursion planned in advance with your hotel if you’re tight on time. Better to just stay with full board because local cafe just gonna rip tourist off by giving you a different menu with USD and I found out they would end up charging us 2x the price.
A lazy tropical island as it should be. Many locals own houses and hotel buildings under construction at the moment, but nothing that interferred with our stay. There is a 'main street' with souvenir shops and a local cafe, with shops that can be opened if you ask someone local, maybe in the cafe, if they aren't open. At the west end of the main street is the power station, which is noisy 24h a day. It can be heard in most part of the northern half of the city, but down in the southern part, we were not hearing it. Safari (overnight) boats and a resort on another island are the causes for trash on all the beaches. This needs to be adressed to make this island look like the tropical paradise it is.
Dhigurah is a lovely small island with incredibly warm and nice people. It is a place where we would absolutely want to come back. The island has it's challenges with the power house old and noisy located quite centrally (we have seen there a new construction of a sound proof power house that will be ready in the new future) and the issue with litter (plastic bottles) especially in the narrow tip of the island. However, the island and its inhabitants it's a piece of paradise that is worth to see in a lifetime. There are only a few hotels and one cafe at the moment but more hotels are being build (and quite large ones as far as we've seen). The place is excellent for snorkelling for diving, whale shark watching, dolphin watching and manta rays.
Dhigurah- amazing island with really long wild beach line on both sides and with sand bank on the tip of the island- perfect for sunrise and sunset. Clean sand, coral reef with rich aquatic life- we saw turtles, baby sharks, octopus, moray eels, sting rays, lobsters and millions of fish. Lagoon is shallow- especially good for kids.
The island is polluted which contradicts the idea of eco-tourism promoted by Maldives. The locals like picnics but they leave rubbish behind or just throw it away in the bushes. I saw some foreign volunteers who live and work there trying to clean up the island a bit. There are huge garbage piles right in the middle of the island burnt almost daily, which one can feel at the neighbouring beaches depending on the wind. Construction rubbish and broken beach furniture everywhere. Scarce choice of available fresh sea produce at the restaurants and the restaurants themselves.
relaxed friendly vibe. Gorgeous sea and beaches with plenty of options for scuba & snorkelling (recommend Dhigurah Divers). Reminds me of Thailand 30 years ago with unpaved sand roads. A dry island so no alcohol to be brought in / purchased. Few shops for essentials (limited choice) 4/5 local cafes not associated with hotels to eat out at for around 5GBPpp Cant use sandbank on Fridays (reserved for locals) but can any other day and bikini beach available everyday. We loved it here.
