This was an amazing experience. What Franky and his family have built is so special. We learned so much about life in the Yucatan, both ancient and modern. Franky also had great travel tips. We had asked for dinner and it was delicious. Our daughter loved the experience especially all the animals. The shower was properly hot.

Wonderful stay, really nice hosts, sweet cabaña in jungle gardens. Lovely pool. Cabin very comfortable, used air- conditioner at night. Convenient for nearby cenotes in Homun - I recommend Santa Barbara, especially early in the morning. There is a couple of small taco places in nearby villages (not listed on google maps). A great place to relax, plus the cooked breakfast was delicious.

The place is truly peaceful. The owners are very attentive and they make you feel at home. The property is far from the main road which makes it very quiet. You'll be enchanted by the bird sounds and the beautiful surroundings. The pool is stunning. I loved everything about staying there. Only 6 cabins and they are beautiful, well designed and very clean. All of them well situated for privacy.

Hacienda San José Cholul is a special place and staying there is an exceptional experience. In the middle of the Yucatan countryside, it's a set of beautiful historic buildings surrounded by delightful gardens, and wonderfully peaceful. The old hacienda has been carefully modernised with attractive modern touches, including a stunning pool. The Yucatecan and Mexican food, traditional with sophisticated modern variations, is generous and excellent. What appealed to us most thought was the staff, who were all utterly charming, friendly and helpful and added greatly to our enjoyment. Recommended for a stay that's really a cut above the ordinary.

The staff were incredibly kind. The owner lent me his personal bicycle which absolutely made my trip because I could ride around to cenotes. He was completely trusting which was so nice
