This was an amazing experience. What Franky and his family have built is so special. We learned so much about life in the Yucatan, both ancient and modern. Franky also had great travel tips. We had asked for dinner and it was delicious. Our daughter loved the experience especially all the animals. The shower was properly hot.

Five stars is not enough to rate this wonderful place and the experience we had. We loved it! It is fabulous!! Carlos and Fernanda are exceptional hosts and have welcomed us to their paradise with open arms. The cabins are beautiful and so comfortable. The bed and the bed linnen were perfect, the shower as well. We received every morning a delicious fresh home made breakfast and great talks with Carlos about many interesting topics. They also offered to make our laundry, which was very much appreciated. They accommodated our dieters needs and gave us many tips on which cenote to visit and other locations. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and hammock. If you are looking for a magical stay, don’t look further!! This place is “home” in paradise.

Hacienda San José Cholul is a special place and staying there is an exceptional experience. In the middle of the Yucatan countryside, it's a set of beautiful historic buildings surrounded by delightful gardens, and wonderfully peaceful. The old hacienda has been carefully modernised with attractive modern touches, including a stunning pool. The Yucatecan and Mexican food, traditional with sophisticated modern variations, is generous and excellent. What appealed to us most thought was the staff, who were all utterly charming, friendly and helpful and added greatly to our enjoyment. Recommended for a stay that's really a cut above the ordinary.

A wonderful charmingly sleepy place with a really nice manager. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the ample garden. Would definitely come back!

This is not only a hostel, this is the full package. The best part about it are the hosts that make the stay special, as they care for you like their family as they cook for you and offered us guided adventures: driving to the cenotes with motortaxis and explaining all backgrounds. The hostel itself is small with its 8 beds, it is very clean, beds are comfortable, breakfast is very delicious. Parking directly in front of the hostel is possible, the last 50m are a little bumpy but manageable. Lockers available.
