This was one of the best places we have stayed. Quiet, big room and bed, nicely decorated, good shower, beautiful garden and pool, very good buffet breakfast that was definitely more than continental. Helpful staff who were on site. Very reasonably priced

This was such a relaxing getaway. The location is perfect, just a short ride away from town and set right in the lagoon for all day swimming. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and attentive! The buffet breakfast is fantastic and there are lots of delicious options. I will definitely be back!

Excellent value for money, villa on the shore of the lagoon. Kayaks and boat hire available for rent. Breakfast is a specific la carte menu but other items from the menu cost extra. Breakfast quality was ok.

Great location near the main square of Bacalar. Clean and nice property with probably the best shower we have experienced in our trip up from Central America.

This hotel was a hidden gem. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean and beds comfy. The 4 pillows made a difference. The access to the lagoon was clean and beautiful as well.

The hotel was really good! Room was spacious, super clean and tidy. With AC and TV. Bedsheets and towels were clean and room was tidied every day. Bathroom was big and had hot water - a sometimes unique feature around Central America! They even provided soap and shampoo! The staff at this hotel were super helpful at all Times! Thanks for everything! We will for sure recommend!

Super good breakfast, amazing location and lovely staff !

We came to Hotel Playa Laguna Front to unplug, relax, and enjoy the lagoon -- and that's exactly what we did for 5 days. The hotel is in a prime location, sitting at perhaps the most colorful, swimmer-friendly part of the lagoon. You can tell it's a prime spot because a lot of boat tours end around this area to let people swim in the lighter waters there near the cenote. It's also only a couple kms from the town center, so you can easily get into town while still having enough distance from the more touristy center. The hotel itself isn't a fancy upscale place, but that's not what we were looking for. Nonetheless the hotel is new and the facilities are clean/modern with great bathrooms. The hotel is run by a lovely team who were really accommodating...big thanks to the manager Evaristo for always being there to help with any questions. Another great thing is that the kayaks and sup-boards are free to use from 6am to 6pm. The only day you can't use them is on Wednesday when no water activities (other than swimming) are allowed across the lagoon. Wednesdays are conservation days, with inactivity allowing the lagoon to restore itself.

The location is very good. The people working seemed nice, it's a shame they don't invest in the appearance and maintenance of the place!!

Location was perfect, Room was amazing. Ultra clean. Family owned and run. Could walk from the ADO bus station (1.5 km maybe). Just up the road from the lagoon. And close to the centre, for food, drink and nightlife. Provided water to refill bottles, free coffee all day, and basic breakfast was provided. Thumbs up. Definite hidden gem in Bacalar. Maria was great, so helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. Best stay in Mexico so far, while touring.

This was a really nice place to stay. Loved that each room was a little independent house with the traditional thatched roof and great private outdoor shower. Humble and simple design meets the generous large room and bed. The central location was great. Other reviewers wrote about the noise from the neighboring club. I stayed on a Sunday and all was peaceful and quite. They have access to a beach club, which I did not go, and also a discount at a decent food spot close-by.

Excellent location, right in the heart of downtown. Has a pool but we had to wait for them to service it before we could swim.

This property was very unexpected, it looked very simple from the exterior, but when you entered the courtyard it became a whole new place! The setting was beautiful, peaceful and our loft bungalow was perfect! Super happy we stayed here and we would go back!
