Lovely sustainable hotel steeped in authentic mayan history. The owners really care about the environment and the best way to make little impact on the world. The Casa Maya was beautiful with comfortable beds. A unique experience, a short walk or taxi walk to the main sight of Izamal. There is a delicious breakfast available to purchase in the morning, and a tour explaining the rationale of the hotel and its history, and workshops with different activities.

The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. Facilities are new or renovated. Open swimming pool. Hotel actually looks better in real life than on photos.

Firstly the staff on site were all super, they shared the history of the Hacienda , the nature , the city charm and locality to Izamal. The room was enormous with high ceilings , a huge bathroom. Dinner was 10/10 , the Huevos rancheros were the best on the trip for breakfast and dinner was equally tasty.

Great and charming hotel. The location is fantastic right behind the convent. There is a rooftop with tables, accessible to all guests with a great view of the. It was great to be able to chill at the terrace at night while enjoying the lights at the convent. The pool area is cozy and well taken care of, the bar wasn't working probably due to the low season but I imagine in the high season having the pool bar must be a plus. The rooms were clean, very well maintained and decorated. Amenities were provided. The staff was helpful and nice. I would definitely come back to this place.
