DISTRITO 88 - Hotel Boutique Only Adults, Casa de la Ballena, and Hotel Boutique Siete Lunas got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Sayulita.
The hotel was great as was the staff. Was in a perfect location, nice and quiet. Felt safe there at all times even walking the streets. Parking was available at the hotel. The pool was excellent. Staff was always there to help, out. Carlos ran a great restraint and Gustov was great at taking care of us with our drinks and food service.
Sayulita is so much fun and there’s a lot to do and see, the overall vibe is very laidback and easygoing. Think surfers and slow life, nothing too fancy but everything you need to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and eat/drink well while doing so. Feels a lot more local than other towns in Mexico I’ve travelled to like Cancun, cabo, etc. please don’t expect the large scale luxury of those all inclusive type of resort towns. You’ll have a ton of fun in Sayulita if you’re not prissy, easygoing, and go with the flow :) it’s also safe and the locals are NICE!!! We accidentally dropped our passport on the first night, a local picked it up, and through talking to several other local peeps we were able to find her and get our passport back without any issues. Good vibes and good times! My tip would be to Uber there from the airport and then get your Uber drivers contact info and ask if they’re available to pick you up when you leave, as there aren’t ample Ubers around Sayulita. We just whatsapp messages our Uber driver and he picked us up on the way back!
So much life in the main centre, but then you can easily hike short distances to long stretches of beach where there is hardly anyone there! :) Weather was perfect, as it was not too hot. Amazing street food everywhere & top-notch restaurants. Only maybe 45 minutes away from PV by Uber. You can also easily take the local public bus anywhere you want! :)
In my opinion, Sayulita is a vibrant and lively town that offers a fantastic vacation experience. The town is teeming with many restaurants and food options, making it an ideal spot for foodies. The beach is also quite busy, with plenty of people enjoying the sand, sun, and waves. However, it is important to be cautious of scammers who may attempt to lure you into the "lottery." It's essential to be careful and mindful of such tactics to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay in Sayulita. In addition to being cautious of scammers, it's also essential to be mindful of the places you choose to eat at in Sayulita. While there are plenty of great restaurants in town, there may be some that are not up to par with food safety standards. It's important to do your research and read reviews before dining out, especially if you have any food allergies or sensitivities. Additionally, be cautious of street vendors and food stalls that may not have proper refrigeration or cooking facilities. By being careful about where you choose to eat, you can ensure that your trip to Sayulita is both safe and enjoyable. Overall, Sayulita is a charming and recommended destination for those who have never visited. The town's atmosphere is ideal for digital nomads who desire a work-life balance while still enjoying the tropical climate and scenery. With plenty of amenities and attractions, Sayulita provides the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making it a great choice for any traveler.
No one will say this but it's a dirty little town with holes in the sidewalk, decrepit buildings, abandoned dust-covered vehicles, bad smells, and noisy roosters and dogs. I'm not sure what everybody likes, except for surfers, of course, but i didn't find good food, and I saw the resentment (and was served it too) of local people who had their land stolen and their town turned into a capitalist nightmare where they got to wait on tables and clean hotel rooms and toilets.
Sayulita is great beach town. It was safe and with great restaurants and food scene. It offers a great Mexican beach holiday experience with a good surf spot for beginners. However, the town has been overly developed. I think there are too much buildings sprawling in a small town that it can handle.
Sayulita
This beautiful little hotel was the perfect home base to explore Sayulita. The décor matched the feel of the town and all the cute shops on the surrounding blocks. It's located steps from the surfing beach and a block from the plaza. My room was huge and had a spectacular view. It wasn't as loud as I expected at night...proximity to the waves drowns out much of the party noise from town. The staff were nice and helpful. The public areas were quite comfortable and gave the place somewhat of a hostel feel. I'll be coming back!
The location, views, and limited number of rooms was great. The town itself can feel crowded at times, so it was nice to be separate from the craziness. Also super close was playa de los muertos, which felt more local and less crowded than the Sayulita beaches. They had food and drinks services and you could rent chairs for the day. Only a 7 min walk from the hotel. I also really enjoyed their drinks and food, although it was on the pricey side. Both chefs were great.
This was a really beautiful boutique hotel. It was a nice and serene escape from Sayulita's craziness. The pool and it's view was a plus! Also, I loved that it was a small hotel, because there was only 2-3 guests when I was there and so felt safer during COVID. The staff was super attentive, especially Marcela, the hotel manager. She's a rock star, answered all my questions and was always willing to help and provide recommendations for food and activities.
Thank you, Nuiya Hoteles! I stayed here for 2 weeks and absolutely loved my stay! The staff made me feel so welcome! Nuiya is clean, quiet, close to everything you need, and has great wifi. It's close enough to the main part of Sayulita, plus walking distance to the north end with other restaurants, a calmer beach, etc.
Our stay at Casa de la Ballena was wonderful. Martin was super welcoming and accommodating. The free breakfast offering was generous. The grounds were immaculately kept. The hotel is a short 5min walk from the beach and downtown Sayulita which I appreciated because it was quiet enough but still close to the action.
This was a really nice place in Sayulita, clean and well designed. Mexican style. Location is in the middle of town so close to all food and merchants. The weather was very humid in July so we stayed around the hotel and it was very comfortable with A/C.. Reception staff (Gabriella) was also very helpful.
The location is very convenient and close to everything, but that comes at a price (my sleep). The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and spoke both English and Spanish. The rooftop terrace is reason enough to stay at this hotel. Stunning views.
this is a well run hotel. it's close to town so you can walk easily but its far enough away to not hear the noise of partying. i am a woman travelling alone and i felt very safe. the beach in front is beautiful for walking.
Cosy and intimate boutique hotel that’s private, quiet yet close to Sayulita town and amenities. David and Regina made our stay so welcoming and were helpful with local tips and food recommendations.
The Ximena Hotel Boutique had amazing rooms and amazing pool deck with bar. We were so happy with t the hotel location and aesthetic. We will definitely be staying there again!
Everything. amazing location and epic views. the staff are incredible and will go above and beyond to help you with anything - everything just felt so easy at this hotel.
Sayulita
Marlon, Fernanda, Jonathan and all starf are amazing. Nice and delicious food. Excellent and clean rooms by Olga and Janet. This is by far the best hostel in sayulita.
beautiful hotel with great design. large rooms and bathrooms that felt cool enough that i didnt need an aircon. rooftop pool and lounging area are fantastic.
The garden and breakfast, as well as Yiyo the server, were excellent. This was by far the best part of our stay in this hotel.
Very charming hotel. We got a room where we didn’t have to climb the stairs, which was very helpful with a baby.
Hotel Oz is the spot I prefer to stay in Sayulita. Friendly staff, very clean and great location.
