I love hotel Ysuri. They kept part of the local environment so you can enjoy the jungle and birds etc. Its really clean. Close to everything but also i am on lazy vacay and they have a lounge at the pool and restaurant on the beach so you don't have to go anywhere. Also I have hip arthritis and the beds are comfy where i can sleep.

Too many people offering hard drugs all the time. I got my first crack offer there, in the middle of the day on a Thursday!
No local food anymore, everything is for the gringos, options, flavors and prices are meant for them. Don't expect real Nayarita food in the town, you need to go far from the tourists to get it.
The people there were nice all the time, but not many locals (from Nayarit), although the gap in service for national tourism vs international tourism is noticeable.
Sayulita la menos.

Sayulita is a nice town overall.
Sayulita is a nice town overall. A mix of rundown buildings along with residential and maintained buildings. A town that has clearly been over-run with a steep rise in tourism in the last decade. Rising prices and exchange rate to the Mexican peso means that you should expect to pay about the same as you would at home for just about anything.
A nice beach and lots of surfing and tourist services. Many restaurant choices.
The number of vehicles and motorcycles lacking any effective muffler that would speed up and down the streets at all hours of the day and night made for a noisy visit and frequently being woken up while sleeping. A disappointing inconsiderate few that significantly altered our overall impression of Sayulita.

The amount of golf carts , motorcycle and traffic has ruined this town . Too many weed smoking hippies for my liking . The American surfers have ruined this Mexican town . They are too blame so the can have it . I won’t be visiting sayilita anymore .

Many people consider it too touristy but it isn't.
Many people consider it too touristy but it isn't. It gets full of daytrippers from PV during the day in high season but mostly it's a quiet little surf town with some great restaurants and a nice break from PV. I think it is under rated for the most part. I also like that it is not spoiled by enormous hotels and all-inclusives. There are lots of little markets with wonderful produce on the way in. We stayed at AzulPittaya which is tucked away completely hidden by jungle and right on the beach. recommend Chocobanana for breakfast and El Tiburon for dinner but there are many good restaurants in town and a fabulous ice cream place.

Sayulita is a small but growing local beach town just minutes away from Puerto Vallarta, accessible by car or bus. It is a bustling town with a very relaxed vibe, perfect for couples or groups celebrating a birthday, anniversary or other important occasions. Sayulita is known as a party town and it has the vibe especially at night. But the local residents offer many options to connect with the local culture, art and crafts. There is a plethora of activities available to visitors both on land and sea. You will love the friendly people of Sayulita and be treated well especially if you embrace their culture and show gratitude for their service and care.

Sayulita has got to solve its sewage outflow problem as it affects the quality of the water on the beach. It's a beautiful seaside town with a great surf culture and a variety of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues. If they get their beach issues fixed it will be a little slice of paradise.
This is THE best hotel in Sayulita. Its a bit outside the center which is perfect to have quiet time and night but its still walking distance from the beach and all the fun. The room are nice, clean and big and have all the equipement that you might need. The best part is the people that run the place : the are the nicest people. Always there to help, super interesting to talk to…just really wonderfull people !
I highly recommand that you go to this hotel! we are actually planning when we are gonna go back ! 💕
It’s a super nice stay in sayulita! The location is perfect: close to everything but still in a more quite area. The place is an oasis of rest and we loved the yoga classes that they offer. Also the owners are really nice and helped us out with making ready a beautiful apartment so we could stay a bit longer. We can only recommend staying here!
The rooms at Hotel Villas Sayulita are clean and comfortable, and the beds are really soft. The hotel also has a nice pool and a great location - just a short walk to the beach. Overall, we had a good stay and would recommend this hotel to others.
The breakfast was very good.
The room was huge.
The service was very good , too. They booked us a taxi to the airport and the doctor, who came to the hotel for the covid test.
Walking distance to everything in Sayulita
The hotel was greatly located downtown Sayulita yet being in a quieter part of it. Check in was easy, the staff were super useful and spoke great English. The room was clean and the AC was a bonus. Would stay here again.
