Beautiful B&B located in the center of town. Everything was spotless, the decor was beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent. The host was very friendly. It also has a charming shop downstairs. Highly recommended.

Lovely little place, had no idea about it and probably...

Lovely little place, had no idea about it and probably wouldn't have visited if not for Herzog Jan beer. Beautiful village, the river walk is nice, good restaurant and bar. There is an old watermill amd other historic buildings, enough for 1-2 days of visiting.

It seems to be a great location for cycling and walking but...

It seems to be a great location for cycling and walking but we just stay overnight to break up long journeys. Small town full of character - parking is easy - restaurants and hotels are all near one another and some overlook the Maas river. A delightful stop but be aware that the restaurants are open all day but kitchens tend to close by nine o'clock at night although hotel bars stay open until 10. Has a local brewery.

Arcen is a small great, quiet "escape" town to explore this...

Arcen is a small great, quiet "escape" town to explore this nice part of North Limburg. close to the German border and places like Venlo. The main reason to stay in Arcen is visit the gardens of Castle Arcen. Every season show you a different face with flowers and well kept landscapes.

no information or instructions for check-in! Got to the hotel late, around 11:00 p.m.... They don't answer the phones, they don't answer messages, they didn't give me the password to the safe with the keys for check-in! Had to sleep in the car! And the next day I still didn't get any explanation from the administration, they just put - NO CHECK-IN!!! and the money was written off!!! What the hell is this? Nothing but negativity!

Quiet. Good breakfast choice with options pre-ordered the evening before. Plenty of parking behind the premises. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our stay so couldn't rate it. We ate in Venlo (15 minutes drive) after a visit to the museum. We took "the small room" which was actually plenty large enough. Tea & coffee making facility in the room. Location convenient for Arcen, Kastelltuinen gardens & Venlo.

Lovely modern hotel, comfy beds, huge rooms, lovely clean shower. In the foyer there was a bar where we could have a beer in the evening. The price of the hotel included free access to the Thermalbad.Arcen which we made use of.
