Great place must visit if you are in newzeland. I didn't have lot of time to explore all the places but even just the city center was worth it, beautiful scenery and walks. Try local food, it was really good. Dont miss Ferg burger one must try.
Sad to see all the roadworks and the mall in town still unfinished- was there 12 months ago and not much has changed. Nice to see lots of visitors this time and very grateful to all the staff struggling to keep up with demand . Fabulous eating options and activities still for all age groups.
So many activities to choose from from the Underwater Shark Ride to a trip on the old Steamship "Earnslaw" or a ride up the Gondola for fantastic views as well as the chance to have a go on a high mountain luge - awesome. As for choosing somewhere to eat you cannot complain about choice. Everything from fast food to cafes and Michelin restaurants, you choose. Biggest issue at present is all the road works around CBD at the same time. Far too many for such a small place as traffic movement was so slow at times.
Queenstown's famous scenery did not disappoint, although the beauty of the lake front is somewhat let down by ugly tourist attractions. I hope they get the roadworks that are dominating the town centre completed soon as this was a very detracting feature. Rata restaurant is superb. Cowboys is fun for the younger ones. I lost my favourite expensive jumper but have to say that the taxi companies and police station could not have been more friendly and helpful in trying to help me get it back.
We found Queenstown is locked down with not a lot open on a Monday through to Thursday when it seems to come alive again. It seems to be all geared up for the weekenders only. Other people do travel on other days and would like to be able to find an open restaurant or go for a ride on the Gondola. You can not get a car park around town, most of the streets are a demolition sight and there are traffic hold ups.
The people of Queenstown are so beautiful just like the scenery all around. We are considering moving there lol. There’s so much to do here you’ll love it. Definitely a bucket list place to visit ♥️ The restaurants especially Fogo’s Brazilian BBQ wow you’ll never be disappointed ☺️
Centrally located in Frankton, away from the busyness of Queenstown, but close enough to trip back and forth. Brand new facility, was only opened 3 weeks prior to our stay, with more rooms on the way. Staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Restaurant and wait staff were great, fantastic breakfasts and cocktails! I like the Smith and co products in the bathrooms! Extremely good value for money. Lots of restaurants, food outlets and shops around the hotel.
Kelvin Heights, Queenstown
Loved the relaxation room, worth the extra cost. So quite and secluded. Complete luxury! Some of the megative reviews made me rethink booking here but we were not disappointed.. I dont know how anyone could rate this hotel low.. it was fantastic! Food was amazing.. esp platters. Amazing location, our door was within meters of the lake. Great staff, clean beautiful rooms. The spa was incredible. We didnt even go into queenstown itself, we just stayed here.
The hotel is in essence a good option for price and quality in Queenstown if you choose to be close to the centre. The pedestrian area with all bars and restaurants is only a 5 minutes walk. Even though the room is a bit small, it is very functional. Also, not to mention that the check in and monitoring of the lights in the room can be all managed via their user-friendly app ! Overall good short stay !
The bed is comfortable and the room is facing a beautiful mountain. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. The price of the buffet breakfast seems reasonable due to the A La Carte price in the city centre restaurants are at about the same asking price. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel to allow easy connection to the airport for around $5 per person (pay by cash).
Queenstown
The view is stunning, the apartment was clean, today and well equipped and the under floor heating in the bathroom and kitchen was awesome. Off roading parking in Queenstown is a bonus and the heater in the ski gear cupboard was a nice little touch. It's nice and quiet at night but only a short walk, bus ride or a cheap Uber into town.
Queenstown
The hostel is in Queenstown city centre and close to all the shops and restaurants. The staff are super kind and helpful. The bed is very wide and comfortable. They provide free waffles and coffee in the morning and soup with bread in the evening. Each guest has a large locker to store your backpack or suitcase.
Queenstown
It was close to town and the Sky Gondola. We could leave our car in the hotel and walked to and from town easily. Our apartment upstairs looked out Queenstown Primary school which had a nice big lawn. There was a nice view of Mt. Cecil through the only window (which we wished bigger).
the staff were amazing! the team has been super helpful throughout our 3-nights stay. provided lots of recommendations on what to see/eat in Queenstown. they have beenvery flexible and attentive. the view of the hotel was superb. it is easily our best stay in our New Zealand trip
The room was comfortable and clean. Shower was amazing and I love the smell of the inhouse liquid soap and shampoo. The location for me was perfect, even though it's a few kilometers away from the centre of Queenstown as we preferred the calmness of the place.
Queenstown
Two strong free Wi-fi signals to choose from, Smart TV with free access to Netflix, all normal T.V channels, comfy Queen size bed, heaps of water pressure with the shower over bath, fantastic views, friendly helpful staff and the cheapest I found in Queenstown.
Queenstown
Great location to centre of Queenstown. Wonderful view of Queenstown.A good workout walking back up the hill. The wood burner and supply of wood was a great assess in the frosty mornings, and coming back after a day at the snow.Great kitchen with excellent views.
Our room had great views of the lake. Also the hotel is well located, a short walk from the Queenstown Gardens (ideal for early morning walk), and just a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Very friendly staff. Shall certainly stay here again.
A short stroll into town, great space in the remarkables apartment to spread out for a week but all the luxury of a hotel with access to room service and daily house keeping
Room was elegant and well presented. It made our stay comfortable. We also loved how the hotel was located in Central Queenstown - so easy to get to everthing!
The Heartland Hotel was in a good location, a few streets back from the centre of Queenstown. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy.
Queenstown
It was very close to the town centre so walking was easy. Really easy to find as we drove into Queenstown. Room was clean and tidy
Queenstown
Great location in the centre of Queenstown. Car parking under cover. Lovely accomodation. Very friendly staff.
The location was great particularly being able to take the lift down to main road through adjoining hotel. We loved our drinks and platter in the bar. The bar staff were great and it was a beautiful place to relax and have a drink.
Loved my stay from start to finish. Awesome reception staff and room was better than I even expected. Would definitely stay again.
Allocation, installations, personal nice! The view and the room.
