Many families visiting Queenstown loved staying at The Spire Hotel, Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel, and Stoneridge Estate.
Great place must visit if you are in newzeland. I didn't have lot of time to explore all the places but even just the city center was worth it, beautiful scenery and walks. Try local food, it was really good. Dont miss Ferg burger one must try.
Sad to see all the roadworks and the mall in town still unfinished- was there 12 months ago and not much has changed. Nice to see lots of visitors this time and very grateful to all the staff struggling to keep up with demand . Fabulous eating options and activities still for all age groups.
So many activities to choose from from the Underwater Shark Ride to a trip on the old Steamship "Earnslaw" or a ride up the Gondola for fantastic views as well as the chance to have a go on a high mountain luge - awesome. As for choosing somewhere to eat you cannot complain about choice. Everything from fast food to cafes and Michelin restaurants, you choose. Biggest issue at present is all the road works around CBD at the same time. Far too many for such a small place as traffic movement was so slow at times.
Queenstown's famous scenery did not disappoint, although the beauty of the lake front is somewhat let down by ugly tourist attractions. I hope they get the roadworks that are dominating the town centre completed soon as this was a very detracting feature. Rata restaurant is superb. Cowboys is fun for the younger ones. I lost my favourite expensive jumper but have to say that the taxi companies and police station could not have been more friendly and helpful in trying to help me get it back.
We found Queenstown is locked down with not a lot open on a Monday through to Thursday when it seems to come alive again. It seems to be all geared up for the weekenders only. Other people do travel on other days and would like to be able to find an open restaurant or go for a ride on the Gondola. You can not get a car park around town, most of the streets are a demolition sight and there are traffic hold ups.
The people of Queenstown are so beautiful just like the scenery all around. We are considering moving there lol. There’s so much to do here you’ll love it. Definitely a bucket list place to visit ♥️ The restaurants especially Fogo’s Brazilian BBQ wow you’ll never be disappointed ☺️
Queenstown
My room had a great view of the lake (right across the street from the lake). The motel is in a great location, a short walk to the city centre with shops, restaurants, groceries. Everything I wanted to do in Queenstown was within walking distance of the motel so I didn't need a car. Motel was quiet, friendly staff. Had a laundry facility for guests use. The room is not fancy but it is clean and has a small refrigerator, microwave, stove and dishes, utensils. For the price (motels in Queenstown seem to be expensive), it was a good deal.
The bathroom was amazing. We definitely utilised the bath during our stay. The bed was really comfy and the room was lovely and warm (winter). The view from our room was exceptional we had a small balcony to really enjoy the sights of Queenstown. The hotel was close to central Queenstown and so leaving the car at the hotel and walking to where we needed to go was a bonus. With the hotel being so close to the city you would expect a bit of traffic/pedestrian noise but it was really quiet. The facilities were modern clean and trendy.
Wow. Lovely place overlooking the water. Rooms were very spacious and had long shared balconies. The bathroom was huge and all the decor was great. The restaurant is fantastic (although pricey - but well worth it for a treat). Try the wine that's bottled on-site at the hotel - delicious. Great, friendly reception staff (a man from Argentina). It's not central enough to walk into town - but is nice and quiet and makes a great change to the more vibey parts of Queenstown.
The hotel was amazing. Modern, clean and stylish and had amazing free facilities such as hot drinks and filtered water available 24/7. The view from the outdoor deck was to die for overlooking Queenstown bay and the location was handy, only a short 5 minute walk to the centre of town. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, I could not recommended mi-pad enough to anyone looking for a place to stay in Queenstown.
The Hotel & Apartments was just as it was described on the listing. Initially there was some confusion regarding the room that I had booked but staff were quick and efficient in remedying the mistake. The location was exceptional and really close to the town centre and central to get everywhere and anywhere by foot and car. Room service was very good too and it was a very comfortable stay. Very friendly staff!
Queenstown
The place is simple and unpretentious but feels really welcoming and cozy. There is a nice lounge open all day and night with hot drinks and tv. The rooms are spacious und well furnished and it's a plus to have free parking and be so close to the centre, really just a few 100 meters away. Great value for money for queenstown
Fern Hill, Queenstown
if you have a car, this is a great choice. the hotel is not in the centre of Queenstown, even the mountain view house is very nice and it is a quiet place to stay. for me it is much better than stay in the crowded town centre. and it is walkable distance to the town centre.
The room was comfortable and clean. Shower was amazing and I love the smell of the inhouse liquid soap and shampoo. The location for me was perfect, even though it's a few kilometers away from the centre of Queenstown as we preferred the calmness of the place.
Queenstown
Great location to centre of Queenstown. Wonderful view of Queenstown.A good workout walking back up the hill. The wood burner and supply of wood was a great assess in the frosty mornings, and coming back after a day at the snow.Great kitchen with excellent views.
Queenstown
Beautiful view from our room. Walking distance to Queenstown. We were upgraded, which is always nice. Check in staff friendly, courteous, professional. Hotel is a bit dated but everything worked, everything clean. Room size was fine. Would stay again.
Friendly staff all round including reception, restaurant and housekeeping. Great place to stay not to far from town very easy to catch the bus and leave the car at the hotel, parking officers in Queenstown are fearsome.
Queenstown
It was very central which was very convenient being able to walk everywhere, the staff were super friendly and helpful in suggesting activities to do around Queenstown. Decent cheap stay, you get what you pay for.
Queenstown
It is a lovely apartment with fabulous view of Queenstown. It was well appointed and very comfortable for our family of 6 adults. Hayley who greeted us on arrival was very nice and helped us with our rental car.
Great view and very comfortable room with a gas fire place, there is also a washing machine and dryer available which is great, all only 15 mins walk away from the centre of Queenstown
Room was elegant and well presented. It made our stay comfortable. We also loved how the hotel was located in Central Queenstown - so easy to get to everthing!
Location wise this is in an excellent position for a hotel. Right in the centre of town. Close to the lake and Queenstown Gardens, shops, cafes and bars.
Kelvin Heights, Queenstown
It is outside Queenstown town centre, which was really nice away from the hustle and bustle. The view from hotel is lovely.
Cozy unit, comfy & well equipped with self-catering amenities. Views are beautiful & staff friendly and responsive.
Good facilities, as advertised. Clean, well appointed king size room, with lake views.
Queenstown
Clean tidy, great on site facilities, kids were able to explore and hire go karts.
