The host was very responsive to messages. The charming accommodations were large & spacious. The beach access is right across the quiet street with a lovely unobstructed view down to the ocean. A grocery store was a quick 7 minute drive.

It was perfect for me as a solo traveler, although it is a 2 bedroom… the hosts left some lovely i think homemade pickles, cheese crackers and milk which was a very nice touch. It was quiet and very close to the beach.. about a 10-15 minute walk to the town… i loved it and would highly recommend this tiny home

Accessing the room was easy and convenient. The room is located only a couple of kilometers off of the Te Araroa trail. There is a bus stop directly out front, which would make it easy to get into town, which was a short walk down the hill. The room was very modern and clean. The amenities had everything we needed, including coffee and tea. The toilet is from the future.

A great place to stay.

A great place to stay. You share the living space with the hosts who are very welcoming and encourage you to make yourself at home. The bedroom is spacious and airy with a lovely ensuite. All very clean and comfortable. There is a lovely outdoor area to sit and enjoy a drink or just relax and read a book. We couldn’t fault our stay, it was just as advertised and Chrissy and her family are great hosts, we would certainly recommend staying at Red Beach Retreat.

The apartment was exceptionally good value for the upmarket...

The apartment was exceptionally good value for the upmarket quality and comfort. The views of the beach are stunning. The apartment is sunny and private with the only sounds being the waves on the beach and the Tuis in the trees.

There are so many wonderful treats on the Whangaparaoa...

There are so many wonderful treats on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, and I’d would highly recommend Unique Spa for a world class massage and Due Amici for a superb Italian dinner. wonderful beaches, it really is a gorgeous spot!!
