Arnold’s Hotel is extremely well located. It’s mere minutes away from the beaches on the eastern side and a roughly equal few minutes from the Kota beachfront. As first time visitors to Bantayan Island, we wanted a great base and Arnold’s certainly delivered. The hotel seemed to cater for more Filipinos than foreign visitors - and this is always a good thing - in our opinion. The staff were simply excellent. Warm, welcoming and helpful. They organised a motorbike, laundry and were able to point us in the direction of the best Banana Cue lady (Banana-Q-Queen on Saagundo? or Gilbuena? off Villaceran) Security is great and everything is kept swept and clean. How they keep on top of this is a miracle (sand and water is tracked in regularly). Hat tip to Neda. Shower was great. Drains quickly and there was hot water available. Three modes - overhead rain shower, adjustable hand-held and foot spout - makes for a quick and easy clean up after visiting the beach. Generously provided bottles of water daily. We loved watching the world go by from the upstairs balcony area. This delightful hotel has much to recommend it and punches above its price-point. Within walking distance of the restaurants, cafes and market.

Place is new and located in calm area of the island, but close to the city. The room was spacious and the best part was terrace with the sea view. There was a kitchen to prepare some basic meal. The caretakers were around everyday and were helpful. Highly recommended!

Tucked a few blocks away from the dings and dongs of poblacion activities. The property is a mix of quiet, zen and homeyness. Window view quite gives you the feel of being in a slice of paradise with all the swaying palm trees in the background. The bed is comfortable, the room quite big, the grass is green, and the staff (kuya) is very helpful. Plus, the area is very convenient for joggers - jog the nearby dirt road at the end of Duarte Street surrounded by palm trees all the way to the main thoroughfares and public beaches.

We stayed at Hero House for a week while working remotely, and we were truly amazed by the Wi-Fi speed: no lag, even during video calls. The apartment is located just steps from Kota Beach, perfect for evening strolls. The apartments were very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was amazing, it's equipped with everything we needed for cooking. The only downside was the somewhat loud air conditioning at night, but overall it was a very peaceful stay in Santa Fe. I would recommend it to couples or anyone needing a reliable internet connection.
