It was clean, everything was well organised and the staff knows what their doing. I had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would definitely come back! My boyfriend and I enjoyed our 1 week at the hotel and the breakfast was awesome. Sadly, we didn’t get to experience the pool due to busy schedules but soon we will come back for it.

I plan to return. I had a brief one night stay but I was treated like family. The hosts are very friendly and the restaurant on premises was nice. The room was very clean and quiet with well a functioning split ac unit. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. They have netflix and wifi which both worked well. A very nice place to stay.

Everything, literally EVERYTHING was perfect from the first moment we came to Lawson’s. The owner is the best example of the Philippinese hospitality - she helped us with renting a scooter which was delivered to the hotel, arranged a transfer to/from the hotel and one night we mentioned we want to try local seafood & the coconut wine and the next day she arranged a seafood lunch that was cooked at the hotel with the wine to taste. All of the staff was super helpful and caring! The most caring staff we encountered while traveling! The hotel itself is on the beach where you can enjoy the most amazing sunsets, relax under the stars at night and most importantly - can see the turtles while snorkeling in there. We got a family room on the first floor and it was SUPERB - lots of space in the room and in the bathroom, super comfy and big bed, comfortable pillows. It was THE BEST place we stayed during out vacation in Philippines!

Although the amenities and facilities of the hotel were excellent, what really stood out was the quality of service they offered for the guests. They offer a complimentary foot wash (with light scrub) upon arrival but could also be requested at another time if you wish. My partner and I were celebrating our 5th year anniversary and there was an anniversary cake waiting for us at the room when we arrived. The room was huge with a private jacuzzi at the second floor terrace. There was also some free sweet/dessert treats every evening delivered to our room. It was my partner's first visit to the Philippines and Boracay and he was very impressed. Thanks to the team!

The staff- They were all accommodating and attentive to the needs of the guests. Location- very close to the beach, they have a lot of swimming pools plus the location of the pools are well-shaded you can swim even if its too hot you wont feel the hot scorching weather. I love the breakfast spread, coz I love their all Filipino spread. Value for money I guess, from the time of the transfers from land to sea, everything was made convenient. The rooms are spacious. The facilities are just nice to enjoy your vacation. Everything was well thought off. The bed is so comfy and you will feel its really clean.

Google Maps is your friend. During the holidays business schedules change. so some times a Museum might be closed. but lots are walking distance from each other. In my opinion if you are trying to hit everything quickly by taxi, your missing the point of this very old city. There are too many water ways, islands and traffic to be in a hurry. slow down, lots of things are free to look at. Carry small change with you always. it will help at all locations. Be polite buy a water if nothing else.

Easy to travel island, with a very well organised transport system from the airport to the island itself. Great snorkel and diving opportunities, lots of fish, around the island. A broad range of land and water sports available, make sure you book a boat tour around the island and do some cliff jumping on one of the spots. Broad range of restaurants and cafes in the main area of the island. Quiet beaches with local restaurants and super friendly locals everywhere.

Mactan felt poor and overcrowded to us. It is true that we arrived after flooding and typhoons, but I am afraid that the trash is a constant problem here. People live along the sidewalks, sometimes even in cardboard boxes that are often placed literally on piles of garbage. Emaciated dogs roam around, and roosters are tied on short strings. Children beg for money. If you want to go on excursions, you have to travel quite far, yet there are constant traffic jams, so even short distances take an unreasonably long time. Choose other islands.

Loved it all!

Loved it all! The whole island has a peaceful and calming vibe. There’s lots to do and see if you’re into the beach ie snorkeling and diving. Beautiful beaches and waterfalls. The roads are nice and wide with no traffic in most areas. It’s easy to hail a tuk tuk to get around or rent a scooter to explore. People are friendly. Food is variable and good. A very scenic place. We’d return in a heartbeat!

very accommodating city, nice people and it is a heart captivating for people that visiting it for the the first time. traveling is easy with much variety of options between public and private, and if you can handle driving, you can rent your own, which is all affordable. Places to visit here are a lot, free places which will blow your mind, just prepare your itinerary well as you need to manage your time to accommodate all places.

Main Attraction is the Whale Shark viewing, Nothing much to do basically you have to stay in our hotel for Relaxation. The main road or Highway is the main road so be careful walking on the side walks when big buses passing by. Dumaguete is like all the other centres, chaotic, polluted...

Dumaguete is like all the other centres, chaotic, polluted and without any sense of road rules . As with all of the Philippines there are annoying minor charges (take a motorcycle on a ferry and find out) and corruption . So far nothing unusual. Rizal boardwalk offers light entertainment. Oh, don’t expect much from the tourist office. They are not much help.information of an exact nature is very hard to come by. The town is passable.
