When you stay on Boracay, you should be located close to White Beach (the best beach on the island). This hotel is located on white beach station 3 (there is 1,2 and 3). There are some other nice hotels, but rather far. The hotel has direct access to the beach. On the right side, you can go kiting. This is the only location where are kiters. The hotel is not so big but has all you need, the stuff is amazing and very helpful. Every evening the hotel was providing the bus to go to White Beach Station 2, where the most things going on the island, it is for free, when wanted to come back they will pick you up. We had a double floor apartment with a jacuzzi on the roof it was very nice, could ho there during the night we stayed there with our 2 kids and wad enough space, we got extra bed. Weather - we were there from 2- 8 October, and the weather forecast was showing rain every day. When we arrived, it was raining mostly at night and during the day for a short time, like on Caribbean. However, it was cloudy, and we could spend more time outside. When there is sunny weather, it is so hot that everybody is looking for a shadow and staying outside of the beach. In general, don't trust the weather forecast, and you shouldn't worry about travelling to Boracy. To conclude, we were very happy from our stay and really like the hotel.

Really nice and spacious rooms. Really chilled and relaxed vibe. Breakfast was fantastic and staff was superb. They couldn’t be nicer people. Everyone at the hotel made us feel very welcome. Solid 10 for staff attention. They really took time to make us feel like family. Special shout out to Hanzel, he’s a superstar, friendly and such a nice guy. Every morning he made coffee for us before our gym workout as soon as he saw us stepping in the restaurant. Absolutely recommend Amorita to anyone visiting Bohol/Panglao. You won’t be disappointed.

I loved the location. Right near market, Esplanade, ferries and grocers and eateries. Pool was lovely. Great room. Amazing bed and supersoft linen. Nice room and views. Pretty quiet and good AC. Room service was fabulous and good value. Nice breakfast. I like it so much, I stayed there twice.

It was quite busy and the beach made its way into the buildings and shopping arcades. The beach and water was nice but there is no real separation between the beach and buildings so sand was everywhere.

The island is great and it is relatively clean as opposed other places I have visited within the Philippines. People are nice and the overall vibe is very relaxing. Alona beach is definitely the spot if you want the most amount of options when it comes to dining, bars, and social activities.

only could stay between 2-3 days at times because of how tight the schedule is but honestly, it's a really fun city. you could go to basically anywhere if you know where the fun places are at but please do, you're research everyone! you don't want to panic and book places in a rush!

Mactan is just so perfect for everyone to stay. Airport is just 20 minutes away from my residence and all the five star hotels are just 10 minutes travel from my place. Everything is very accessible. So I love staying here.

White sand beaches are small and not amazing.

White sand beaches are small and not amazing. Small area to swim at high tide and lots of sea grass. North eastern section has much nicer beaches with good snorkelling and diving but is remote from towns and eating out options. Waterfalls are beautiful. Need a scooter to get around.

To swim with the Whale Sharks was the most amazing...

To swim with the Whale Sharks was the most amazing experience. So glad we did it. Be sure to take a GoPro and if you are a senior (60 years +) you don’t have to queue which is a real bonus. Get a guide wearing an orange t shirt and he will fast track you all for a tip at the end of your experience. Well worth the little extra.

I was visiting someone and stayed at The Henry Resort.

I was visiting someone and stayed at The Henry Resort. A very pleasant place to stay, when my friend was tied up with work, I went to nearby places. Siqijor Island, for example. I did not appreciate the other hotels in Dumaguete.

It is pretty congested and very noisy but this is to be expected from a place like this. The upside is everything is close and you can get over to Cebu city by ajitney motorbike quickly and cheaply not to mention you are actually walking distance to the airport so it is what it is but it being part of a large City these things are normal

Love Iloilo City even as a student.

Love Iloilo City even as a student. My alma mater is the University of San Agustin, which is one of the top universities in Western Visayas. The people are gentle and kind and the city itself offers great views and good food (Nicolette Italian resto in SM City my fav) comparable to other big cities in the country.
