Consistent hospitality of the staff, friendly and able to assists all our queries. Able to use the beach facilities and it was excellent! Hope on my next visit for the shower/changing room at the beach side (Mactan Newtown Beach) be fixed since the pool area was a bit crowded and far.

Bellman immediately assisted us upon seeing us exit the taxi. So glad to get a free upgrade. Receptionist explained everything clearly and also fluent in English. Room is spacious. Restaurant service was fast and staff were very polite and friendly. They're the best! Glad to have free shuttle service; security guard was helpful and driver was on time and also polite.

It was the best hotel to stay in cebu island. I would like to thank the general manager of the hotel (forget her name) for the attitude and reception and how she help the guests and for managing events for such a beautiful celebration 2024. Really nice and clean rooms, comfy beds and super close to the airport. There is breakfast at the hotel and across the street there is a 7-eleven, a cafe and some restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpfull, they organize free transport to the airport.

Mactan felt poor and overcrowded to us.

Mactan felt poor and overcrowded to us. It is true that we arrived after flooding and typhoons, but I am afraid that the trash is a constant problem here. People live along the sidewalks, sometimes even in cardboard boxes that are often placed literally on piles of garbage. Emaciated dogs roam around, and roosters are tied on short strings. Children beg for money. If you want to go on excursions, you have to travel quite far, yet there are constant traffic jams, so even short distances take an unreasonably long time. Choose other islands.

it was good and convenient to have Robinsons next door easy to get a taxi We ate a lot at the round building near the fountains opposite MacDonalds. we did not go to the local beach as the charge was WAY to much. there is two Chemists just nearby

We chose a resort on Mactan because it was close to Cebu...

We chose a resort on Mactan because it was close to Cebu City and we only had three days at the end of an island hopping cycling tour that finished in Cebu City. Now that we have seen other islands I would recommend that guests take a ferry and go to Bohol or Soquijor islands if they have more than 2 nights stay available. The overall experience will be much nicer , including better beaches and snorkeling.

To be honest it isn't a particularly scenic island.

To be honest it isn't a particularly scenic island. I was there to complete my scuba training. In hindsight, I should have gone elsewhere in the Philippines. The people are very friendly, but they are everywhere in the Philippines. I would suggest avoiding the island and Cebu city. You would be better off in Bohol etc. Far more beautiful.

It's a wonderful hotel that you don't need to leave for your stay. It has everything. The staff are world-class and the food is first class. They surprised us when they found out it was our anniversary with a complimentary bottle of wine.

There are so many better places in S/E Asia to go for a nice...

There are so many better places in S/E Asia to go for a nice time at the beach. Mactan is not one of them. I went for the IronMan and would never go for vacation there. Very poor availability of night life, sea and beach are mediocre.

My son enjoyed the kid's club and he enjoyed the play area outside the ball pit. There were different options for the pool. The food in their restaurant was affordable and delicious. The staff were friendly and always greeted you. The facilities were great.

I especially liked the location. The Mactan Newtown Blvrd. offers many restaurants, cafe bars and stores. Nice to have a walk, good walking paths. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
