Was able to check in early which was helpful. The hotel is in the most splendid position on the river with fantastic views. Service was excellent, friendly professional staff, very helpful. Restaurant was lovely.

Excellent! A wonderful hotel right on the banks of the Douro River. The suits are comfortable and well equipped. We were looked after by the very friendly staff - Carla, Tamiä, Silvia and the kitchen staff. Always a smile and very helpful. The hotel has been designed in a very tastefully manner and with greatest love for detail. Just beautiful! The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of freshly prepared foods and is very beautifully decorated. The picnic basket is a must! A wonderful place to unwind, relax and enjoy. Marta and Raquel welcomed us at check in. they were most hospitable and professional! Marta served us your famous port wine upon arrival. she gave us helpful with suggestions re sights to visit. we enjoyed the full view of the Duoro River from our balconies of our premium deluxe rooms. your restaurant staff were friendly, for example, Bruno Ribeiro, Justin Timberlake, lookalike, service's was attentive and responsive. we enjoyed our meals. breakfast was delicious as well. the rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. bathroom was modern and spotless. towels were soft and white. free indoor parking was secured with easy access. the location is private and serene. highly recommend.

The staff surprised us with cake and a bottle of wine on our arrival (it was my husband's bday). Beautiful hotel, spectacular views, great food, friendly staff, a chef's garden, vineyard and relaxing pools and spa. We enjoyed our time relaxing. What a wonderful treat after walking the camino portugese. The sommelier, Ferminio, was so friendly and kind. We will recommend to friends and family.

It is really wonderful place with stunning views! The room was clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. The accommodation is even better than in the photos. The personal is very pleasant. Regular cleaning of the room and kitchen. WiFi is good. Big parking is in front of the building. Keep in mind that Google Navigator can build strange route through an impassable road, so we had to turn around and go along the correct road.
