Friendly helpful staff at the check in and at breakfast. The rooms were clean, they have nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. The location is very central, at a little cosy square. Very good breakfast. We stayed 3 nights and really felt at home. Highly recommended!

It was amazing stay. The woman was so welcoming and kind, due to our flight we asked if it would be possible to check out a bit late and she allowed us with no issue. They also offer breakfast for 5 euros and the communication is mainly through WhatsApp 😇

Barcelos is a great city to spend a day or 2 while doing the Camino or traveling in Portugal. The architecture and ruins are not to be missed. The variety of restaurants and shops were fun to explore.

A Very nice small city, lots to see and many good dining and shopping opportunities. We were lucky to be there during a festival, which provided non-stop entertainment for our two -day stay. Our favorite place in Portugal so far. (We are not big city people, found Lisboa and Porto vexing - crowds, noise, traffic). Barcelos manages to be interesting and charming without the negatives. Of course, some day it will over-populate and be as obnoxious as the other big cities.

Barcelos is one of many stunning towns and cities in Portugal, but by far my favorite. It is small enough to walk around, has some excellent old buildings, bridges, etc. Cafes, restaurants all provide excellent service, and the market on Thursdays is awesome to see.

This town is a car crash! - despite Unesco city of creativity. 1-2 hours plenty to look around the last remaining intact bits of town, apart from visiting on a Thursday when supposedly there is a market going on. So many other places to see in the area! Why waste your time?

We were there for Dance World Cup finals in Braga so didn't see a lot of Barcelos but surrounding areas very beautiful. Lots of stunning countryside covered in vineyards. Definitely would go back to explore more!

The city is beautiful and with a lot of monuments and churches to visit. It also had some pretty interesting shops in a central shopping area and some interesting looking restaurants. From traditional to hipster food- you can find everything there. The day I visited, the city had a huge market in the center, street food and entertainment. There were some traditional music concerts, traditional dancing, flower and light decorations all over... Very pretty. I was positively surprised by the mixture of historical and city-like vibes.

The room came with breakfast but as I needed to leave the hotel early to start my Camino Walk, the staff was very accommodating in that she prepared the food and got it sent to the room the night before my walk. I thought it was very thoughtful. The room was spacious and the washroom facility was simply great - water spray was strong and getting the water to the right temperature was convenient. Good location within the main town centre.

Stayed in the medieval suite, very clean and nice bathroom, kitchen ok for a hotel in the city, fridge, clean rooms, bed ok. Great breakfast, fresh orangejuice, pancakes, cereal, cake, coffee,... continious refill. Coffee in room. Nice view, parking nearby (street). Very friendly staff.

The room was clean and comfortable. We had an attic room which with sloping eaves but as the layout was well thought out there were no incidents of bumping our heads! Location convenient for the Camino and in the centre of Barcelos making it easy to explore in the evening.
