He contacted us before arrival to let us know that there was no restaurant at the property but they could prepare something. And he prepared a soup and a cheese table. He was very nice. The breakfast was superb. The house itself is very comfortable. The location is outstanding. We will be back for sure!

IsraelNew, modern and very peaceful guest house. The hosting family are the nicest people, very attentive and welcoming, making us feel at home. The room was of good size, spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The guest house offers an excellent atmosphere, very quiet and relaxed. Dinners were excellent, a real treat. CroatiaOur stay at Hotel Rural da Quinta do Silval was a truly memorable experience. Without a doubt, its greatest asset is the location—the view of the Douro Valley vineyards from our room is something everyone should experience when visiting Portugal.
The hotel owners were incredibly welcoming, and the food was outstanding. Before our arrival, Mr. Rui contacted us with the dinner menu and offered us the opportunity to reserve a table for that evening, which we gladly did. The dinner exceeded our expectations and was absolutely delicious.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in the Douro Valley.

The rooms are very stylish, and the dinner format is unique—you enjoy excellent food while making new friends from different countries.
And, of course, the wines are wonderful! We fell in love with the sparkling rosé, though the port wines were also outstanding. We took a few bottles of wine and some olive oil with us.

Lovely area -- recommend taking the scenic train there as...
Lovely area -- recommend taking the scenic train there as you can see a lot from the train. Then did a 1 hour river cruise at Pinhao which was perfect. Small, electric solar boat, charming with wine tasting. And, we stayed at a lovely Quinta overnight. Perfect amount of time to get a sense of this wine area.

We stayed at Ventozelo Hotel and Quinta as a convenient stop...
We stayed at Ventozelo Hotel and Quinta as a convenient stop on our route from Porto to Salamanca. One night here is not enough if you crave peacefulness and the outdoors. If there had been time we could have walked to the river and through the vineyards, relaxed by the pool.
