Quiet place, good to rest outside of the noise. Thay have restaurant as well as spa inside and breakfast included in the price. Nice rooms. Overall great value considering the services. Beyond my expectations.

The hotel is wonderful. We liked everything. It’s great that there is an opportunity to use the pool when it rains and also the gym. I also really liked the animals that live on the property and the fact that they are well taken care of. The goats and sheep are very cute. It’s also great that the weather in this area is fresh — an excellent option to escape the heat.

The accommodation is located in a beautiful place, with an amazing view over the ocean and a garden with beautiful flowers. The owner is very welcoming and he gave us a lot of recommendations regarding restaurants and walks. The location is also very convenient regarding walks (for example PR 18 Levada do Rei is only 15 min away, or PR 1.2 Vereda do Pico Ruivo), but also to visit small villages such as Santana. There are also multiple good restaurants with nice views nearby (you do need a car). We would really recommend this accommodation when you stay in Madeira!

We decided to stay at the lodge for its proximity to the Pico Ruivo trail, which begins just moments away at the car park. The views are spectacular, the lodge very comfortable, and the food ambitious and well presented. Where the lodge really stands apart, however, is the service and care offered to its guests. There is a real and genuine desire to do the best they can, so that each experience is personal, special, and most of all, very human. It is a masterclass in hospitality, and not to be missed.
