Everything is just great. The hotel surrounding is beautiful with stunning views, you can watch the sunrise from the balcony or just outside the hotel. Great breakfast with huge choice of food. We had a vila which was very spacious and well equipped, even with an own fireplace :) The staff was super friendly. There is also a walking path that will bring you down to the beach, which is not far, just it is little steep. Definitely recommend for families with kids - they can enjoy the pool area as well as playing room with billiard, table tennis and table football.

Small, quiet hotel, good facilities, clean and well equipped. The breakfast was varied and good quality. The location was great for us, as we wanted a quiet place to stay that was close to the main hikes and attractions in Madeira- 15 min from the airport, 30 min from Funchal.

Teresa is the best host we ever had, she was sweet and very welcoming. Breakfast she made was excellent, fresh scrambled eggs and french toast. We also tried her tasty homemade jam. The view of the ocean from the property is amazing. Room was clean and nice with a large balcony. Can’t wait to come back for more days.

Very friendly, chatty and helpful host. She explained and showed us everything thourougly at the beginning; even gave us tips for our holidays in Madeira. In case of any issue, she is ready to solve it quickly and proper. It was very interesting to chat with her about daily life and culture in Madeira. The balcony was also very lovely and we enjoyed to fade out the day with a beer and relaxing chat outside. We can really recommend this place, but hope at the same time that not too many people book it, so that there is still room for us to come back one day 😉

If you stay in Faial expect to drive a fair distance over...

If you stay in Faial expect to drive a fair distance over very steep hills, hair-pin curves and through many tunnels to get to hiking spots and restaurants. Just below the property in Faial is a small parking area with beautiful ocean views and clear walkways over the water. Other than that (at least in November) you will need to drive to another town for things to do. Highly recommend Bola do Caco- really great food. Had we known would have stayed in Funchal. What a beautiful city! Amazing gardens, 'lots to do, great restaurants and since you have to drive to hiking spots anyway, it would be a better vacation spot. If you're not a strong hiker but want the views, check out PR11, Balcoes- amazing!
