The house had everything we could possibly need. The host even left us a basket with local products, which was a great treat. The village is quite quiet (even though it was grape harvest time) and the church bell didn't bother us.

This is the most amazing place, the highlight of our 2 weeks in Portugal. The house is in a quiet part of the Duoro valley, that has recently been upgraded with a boardwalk, pools and a riverside cafe. The views in the photos aren't half as beautiful as real life and the house is in the perfect location to enjoy them. The house is really comfortable and well equipped and the downstairs lounge, eating, outdoor area was an extra surprise. A really special part of our holiday.

It was incredibly clean and light. Very comfortable. The help from a very kind gentleman in the breakfast room with tea in our room( we English!) was over and above his duties whilst the breakfast was superb. Wonderful village on the Douro and wished we could have stayed longer.
