I only stayed here one night , not long enough to appreciate my surroundings and spend time listening to the stories offered by the owners. I will definitely be back .It is definitely ideal for a base for anyone exploring the area.

Amazing place. An absolute jewel to stay in.
Amazing place. An absolute jewel to stay in. Incredibly fair price for what it is. It's a 17th Century mansion, with an excellent outdoor pool, great wifi, all located in the countryside and yet next to some of the most beautiful historical towns of Portugal. And the breakfast! Amazing.

The Pousada is excellent but we did have difficulty negotiating the narrow lanes to reach the hotel. Exiting Ourém was very easy once the Reception staff gave us instructions. I think maybe we took wrong turns when entering the medieval village. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast choice excellent catering for all diets. There are a couple of restaurants in the village and bars. The castle overlooks the vale with exceptional views. A really lovely hotel within an old medieval village.

This was a very comfortable hotel with efficient and friendly staff. We were off season so there was breakfast and the bar open but the pool area and some of the other common areas were closed. As a result there wasn’t really anywhere inside the hotel to spend time outside of the room that wasn’t in a corridor. Our standard double/twin room was a good size and comfortable with good bedding, good hot water and good towels. We enjoyed our stay.

The location is something special; historic and very quiet. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel hasn't anything superfluous.
