Arrived super early but room was ready so let me check in. Off road parking within the grounds for motorbike and able to park at rear out of sight although it’s a quiet place, beautiful views, good breakfast and room was very spacious clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. Nearest super market was around 11km away. Petrol station just up the road and there’s a restaurant around 1.5k or so up the road that does lunch and evening meals.

It’s a roadside hotel with its own restaurant. Super helpful staff. We had a last minute booking as the other place we booked turned out to be unlivable. They make breakfast. Omlet/cheeses/local ham/veggies. All nice and fresh.

Casa Fonte Fria is located in a beautiful village. There are plenty of walks around Pitoes das Junias with the old monastery and cascades close by. In the evening we walked in to the village itself and had a great meal in the Restaurante Dom Pedro Pitoes. The hosts communicated well with us via WhatsApp and if travelling and walking in this region of Portugal again we would certainly book Casa Fonte Fria once again.
