Dating back to the 16th century, Hotel Paço de Vitorino is located a 10-minute drive from Ponte de Lima centre, featuring a Baroque-style garden. We highly recommend the Paco de Vitorino; it has been one of the most wonderful stays we ever had in a hotel. The building as such is amazing, you feel history but everything has been so nicely renovated that it is at the same time modern and historical. Our room was lovely and comfortable, with air conditioning and blinds so it was dark and fresh at night. The swimming pool area is beautiful and calm: perfect place to relax with a fresh juice offered by the staff. Georges and his colleagues are extremely nice, friendly and helpful - you feel welcomed with respect. They speak perfect English. The hotel offers the possibility to have dinner there (if you tell them in the morning) so we enjoyed a romantic evening with views on the garden. They have a private parking area with a gate so absolutely safe.

Ponte de Lima has everything a tourist to Portugal could want: history, architecture, restaurants, Roman bridges, flowers, an amazing market, etc. Lots of good hikes nearby, and the town itself was spotlessly clean and cared for. We are so glad we went there. We highly recommend for a three to four day visit.
We were charmed by this town, enough though when you arrive to the riverside there's a huge dirt car park there, with 14 tour buses sitting in amongst all the cars. It was all the retired Portugese people off these buses that made our day, they were so enjoying their day out, happily picnicking, strolling, shopping in the market and singing - their delight was infectious. In the evening we bought a bottle of wine in a little store, the storekeeper (with no English) kindly replaced it with a chilled one from out the back, asked if we needed it opened, then added a stopper to it, what service. The garden across the little bridge is delightful. Loved it
Excellent location with views of the river. The town is the opposite side of the river, but only 200m walk back across the old roman bridge. One resturant/bar (?) next door who will not serve drinks alone, only with food, but loads of choice over the other side. Rooms were good, bathroom was great. Nice breakfast and good staff, would stay again.
This is a delightful town to visit. On the side of a beautiful river, there is always something to look at. An excellent, if challenging golf course. The town does seem a bit dead in the evenings when all the day trippers have left, but it is a charming place to stay.
It was a great place, close to our Camino trail. Breakfast in the morning was really nice and the hosts were very hospitable, I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting or passing through Ponte de Lima!!
Picturesque town! Loved the horse and buggy ride that takes you across the pretty stone bridge over the river...riverwalk is so peaceful, as is the music from the speakers as you walk along the river and bridge. Marketplace twice a week along the river was interesting, some nice choices for restaurants, and enjoyed the outside cafe's to sit and people-watch and watch the beautiful sunsets over the river. There are some small museums that were really interesting to visit, with a good venue using videos to explore inside of them. Many of the signs are also in English outside of the sites. A gem of a location to spend a couple of days in or use as a base to explore the Minho region!

Located in center of town. Great location. Staff was not onsite, had to call (not easy being from USA), and wait. Staff very friendly and helpful when they came. Shared bathroom was ok, but prefer private accommodations. Room was warm, but common area cold, even after we lit a fire. Breakfast items were scarce. We got food at local shops nearby. WiFi worked in common area, but very weak in bedrooms. Big issue for USA travelers.

A beautifully restored historic stately home. Rooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated in the traditional style making them most attractive and comfortable. Spotlessly clean and close to the charming town of Ponte de Lima. Lovely continental breakfast in the dining room which adjoins lounge. Our host Tristan was most welcoming and shared lots of local knowledge Staying here was a real treat.

Beautiful property in the heart of northern Portugal owned by the family for centuries. The Host is very welcoming and kind. Nice swimming pool. Do not expect high end equipments or design decoration in the rooms but it is simple and true and still got everything you need. My kids loved the dog and the poney staying in our garden!

The staff were very efficient and friendly. The room was very nice, we especially liked the extremely comfortable beds and the rain shower. Even though the hotel is situated on the other side of the river from the main town it was no problem for us since there is just a bridge to walk over. We would definitely stay again.

This is a small B&B with wonderfully helpful hosts close to Ponte da Lima. The breakfast was the best I've had on my trip, and added to the feeling of pampering. It had the feeling of staying with a family. The furnishings were much better than more expensive hotels.
