The breakfast was amazing! Nice selection of typical breakfast options plus tasty pastries every day. The room and especially the bathroom were cleaned to a very high standard and on a daily basis. We appreciated the (many) fresh towels that we got in the bathroom every day, as well as the friendly staff that took care of the room and manned the reception. The location was also great, super close to the city - just a 15 min walk from the city centre. There are several restaurants near the hotel as well, so we still had options even when we didn't feel like walking to the city centre. Overall a lovely experience, would definitely recommend.

We liked that the staff placed new bottles of water in the room every day — and not just any bottles, they were glass ones. We appreciated that the sheets were changed every day, unless we specifically asked them not to. Breakfast was excellent — flawless, really — and the breakfast staff was wonderful.

Service was excellent and hotel outlets/restaurants served very good food. Breakfast was one of the best we‘ve seen in a while. Shuttle to downtown Lisbon was a huge bonus. Nuno who drives the shuttle is always friendly, polite, and goes the extra mile. A simple cold water when boarding the mini bus on a hot summer day has a huge impact on! Keep it up!

I travel a lot and rarely feel the need to review hotels but on this occasion I feel compelled to. Why? I’ve never felt the heart and soul of property like this before. Hotel das Amoreiras Lisbon is a knock-out hotel that I can’t recommend highly enough; it has a warm and distinct style that takes cozy to new heights. Every aspect of my experience has given me a new perspective on luxury, from the welcoming staff (special thanks to Walter, Teresa, and Matilde) to the perfectly designed marble bathroom. Some of the special touches and stand out highlights: the level-of-pristine applied to bedsheets and bath towels, the tiny salted-chocolate welcome gifts, the attention-to-detail at breakfast, the picturesque design of the courtyard. It should be noted that I’m not new to luxury hotels, I’ve spent many nights in Bulgari and Rosewood hotels, and even had the pleasure of an Aman property. Even with my exposure to such hotels, I’m able to declare that this hotel is one of the *best* small luxury hotels of the world — and the first time I’ve been hard pushed to find criticism — 10/10. Thanks, Josh.

This was an incredible property! It was at the end of a glorious month in Portugal..and the amenities were superb! While the weather did not allow for swimming at that time, the pool area and surrounding seating and green space was wonderful to enjoy with a glass of wine and snacks! The stables were a joy to visit and learn about the residents there.. While it is across the Tagus from Lisbon proper...it was a stunning night view and we couldn't have been happier.
