The staff. I landed at the local airport during the major power outage that took down Spain and Portugal There was no phone connection, no restaurants and no cash machines were working When I arrived at the hotel though I found cheerful staff doing their very best to make people comfortable. I was made a sandwich, given a beer and a torch and they apologised about the lack of hot water! It’s a simple local hotel but with a great heart

The hotel was very clean, it was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The games room/communal area was a very nice touch. Upon arrival I was worried that we had booked into a two star hotel instead of 3, but the hotel was better than most 3 star hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was big and had everything we needed. It even had a balcony. This hotel is a gem.

We enjoyed our stay at the pousada very much, the views were out of a fairy tale, the pool was a bonus after a hot day of exploring the magical village nearby, and the breakfast was delicious in an elegant dining room. The room was very comfortable and the balcony provided a beautiful view of the castle and the countryside. The service was exceptional, starting with Ivandro at the front desk, who was very helpful and knowledgeable about places to visit and fine restaurants to try in Braganca. We appreciated his enthusiasm and kindness.
