Good to visit during ski season. Little to do outside of it. Not to mention the access from Bucharest and even Brasov. Awful traffic all thorough the year. Many hours spent is a standstill queue. Other much better alternatives available.

Azuga is a very quiet resort that is currently in a touristic restoration/rebirth period. At the moment Azuga is not that known and it a lot less busy than Busteni/Predeal/Sinaia. But this tourist city offers a lot of sports-related attractions, cycling (both XC and downhill), hiking, walking outside, ATVs, Motorcycles, skiing in the winter, and others. The trails are not as known as the others but they offer stunning views of the neighboring mountains with easy hikes.

It looked like an abandoned city, unfortunately.

It looked like an abandoned city, unfortunately. You can go to Sorica and take the Gondola that takes you to the mountain plateau. Very beautiful views from there and you can see Bucegi mountains or hike at Baiului Mountains. We loved the food at Casa Azugeana.

Excellent hotel and very good location in quiet leafy area yet within 10- minutes walking distance of the centre. Great to have spacious secure parking directly behind the hotel. Very nice clean room. Excellent breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful (kudos to Bianca who also recommended a good local restaurant and offered to assist in carrying our luggage). Can recommend this hotel without any reservation. We will definitely stay here again.

I liked everything about it! The location is kind of isolated which is nice, the furniture is lovely and the smell of the wood from the inside makes a chill atmosphere! Even though it is very close to the rails, the sound of the train is not too disturbing I loved the hot bath after the ski and also the kitchen outside is heated! The property owners shows us around and made sure we will have a great time!
