The views from the windows round the hotel are beautiful, the facilities are the best of the best. Breakfast- comes with your booking, unlike most the choices for breakfast are catered to everyone. Even down to mini ( breakfast ) pizzas for children. Check in - the entrance is something I’ve seen in films, it’s beautiful would be stunning when surrounded by snow. Reception was long winded and they were admit that they needed to photograph my British passport, however was unable to give a reason. Shown to our room. Room- there is nothing that has not been thought off when it comes to the rooms here. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are stunning, the view from our room was nothing I’ve seen before. Mini bar free to use with a selection of fizzy, water and some snacks. Plenty of hanging space and a laundry facility. Facilities- everything you need to relax after a day in the mountains wether that be in the summer and you wish to hangout in the outdoor pool in the winter after a day on the slopes there is the steam and sauna rooms to choose from ( 3 of them ) also a snow room for thouse so like a ice bath. Sun loungers and a few beds. Towels provided, Robes and slippers. Restaurant- plenty to choose from however the restaurant is a little pricey but the service was excellent as well as the taste. Over all the stay here was not far short of excellent, the location is very well placed as well.

The location is perfect, it is a 3-minute walk across to Peles Palace, you can see the palace from the hotel room. The hotel is a vintage hotel, you feel you have stepped back in time, such a nostalgic feeling. We liked we were upgraded to the apartment, which was good as there were 2 double beds, one for my wife and I and our 9-year-old son. The rooms were very big, the bathroom was small but again had vintage style faucets and shower design, the shower pressure was strong and hot. There was a slightly elevated area with a table and chair which was a great space. The staff were very helpful and polite, and shared great suggestions when we asked for information. It was cold in morning for breakfast and the staff member gave us blankets which was so appreciated by us. The A la carte breakfast was smart and not wasteful and had delicious options. The croissants were AMAZING. They have a bakery/cafe at the back side of the hotel which had some amazing looking options. Many people who do not want to walk up the hill to the palace get dropped off around this hotel and walk past it, so it is busy this bakery/cafe during when the Peles palace was open.

We had a wonderful stay at Licorna La Vie during Easter. Everything exceeded our expectations. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and very well maintained — perfect for a relaxing getaway. The restaurant was excellent, with delicious dishes that paired perfectly with their wines. What truly made the experience special was the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The wine tasting was a highlight — a fantastic experience with high-quality wines and a lovely atmosphere. Overall, everything was just perfect. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Wow. The family room is huge and nice. All the furniture is beautiful. The staff is fantastic, especially Ronil from Sri-Lanka who always keeps smiling. It's not in the center of town so it's quiet and there is always enough parking. They also recommended an excellent restaurant, Yuca, very close to the hotel, to which we went several times. I'd be glad to return there.

Nice breakfast! It is located near the Peles Castle, and you can catch a bus to the center (the stop is 30 meters from the hotel). There is free parking and the birds sing beautifully. I recommend!

The castle is pleasant and worth a visit.

The castle is pleasant and worth a visit. The Telecabin is weather dependent and expensive so choose your dates, and be wary of queue times. Otherwise the village is run down, with little to do and feels very neglected. Nicer to find a trail and go walking. Glad I went but one day was more than enough - sorry!

There are many worth-visiting places in Ploiești.

There are many worth-visiting places in Ploiești. I loved the Clock Museum (50 lei in July 2026). The town is clean, green - with the wonderful street of 100s of chestnut trees, and several parks. The Palace of Culture is beautiful, and I enjoyed the aquarium inside it - there are many species of fish indeed. Plus a clock in the hallway, which appears in the film "Around the World in 80 Days." An informed traveller will particularly enjoy the many spots of interest.

Good to visit during ski season. Little to do outside of it. Not to mention the access from Bucharest and even Brasov. Awful traffic all thorough the year. Many hours spent is a standstill queue. Other much better alternatives available.

The salt mine is great, but the city is really small and...

The salt mine is great, but the city is really small and doesn't really offer anything to do. The only visited train station and stayed there waiting for train to come and leave. Tried to hike but there was a huge barking dog on hiking road so we just went back. And don't get confused the salt mine itself the enter in it and place where they sell ticket are two different places, so if you look at the map and see different pictures in different places just note it. It is strange that so much people visit this town but the town itself not touristic at all.

The bungalows - instead of a hotel - make this an amazing location for a bit of solitude, quiet... and a little home from home. Although it's better than being at home, as the food is just amazing. Cant wait to come back.

We were in the area for an Orienteering event, to give an idea of the welcome the Mayor presented all of the prizes. We had trips out by car to Sinaia (train also possible) and Brasov by train. Both worthwhile day trips with the castles and cable car in Sinaia and the old town in Brasov.

I feel very fortunate to having Câmpina as my home town!

I feel very fortunate to having Câmpina as my home town! Julia Hasdeu castle and Nicolae Grigorescu museum, hills surrounding the little town, many restaurants and few parks make my stay always pleasant. The market is abundant in local and traditional merchandise! People are amazingly welcoming!

Sinaia is a lovely spot in the mountains.

Sinaia is a lovely spot in the mountains. It is accessible by train from Bucharest and Brasov. We enjoyed the Forrest setting and visiting Peles Castle. Unfortunately the Gondola which goes to 2000mtrs was not operating during our stay in May. Be aware there is no visitor centre or tourist office open at the moment and we found it impossible to find tours that originated in Sinaia. All seem to start from Brasov or Bucharest. Compliments to our two taxi drivers who charged a fair price from the train to hotel and return. A rare thing.

We only spent one night in Busteni, in order to visit the...

We only spent one night in Busteni, in order to visit the Cantacuzino Palace. Our impression was that the resort is not very well managed -- some roads were under construction with very little signage or access instructions, a lot of restaurants appeared on the map but were in reality closed for good (not just for the season). In fact, we weren't able to find one with a terrace, to have lunch, and driving around is not an option -- the main street is always packed with cars back to back. We managed to visit the Cantacuzino Palace, but only because we got there before they opened -- it seems part of the Netflix series Wednesday was shot there, and now the palace has accrued the Netflix kind of fame. There were several huge busses filled with Ukrainian visitors at the gate. When we got out, after the visit, the queue was at least a hundred people long (and that's without counting the organized groups, they had separate access).
