The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the staff is very helpful and efficient. It also has a restaurant with many options on the ground floor and the location is very close to the town center, you can reach the touristic area on foot quickly. I visited the hotel on a winter day, with a blizzard and temperatures below zero, but it was very warm and comfortable in the hotel and in the room.

Everything was beyond expectations. The breakfast far exceeded expectations, being superior to many offers of this type from multi-star hotels. Definitely, the number of stars awarded to the hotel is inferior to the quality of services and conditions.

I stayed at Hotel Palace in Târgu Jiu and found it to be a decent option for a short visit. The location is great—close to major landmarks like the Infinity Column and Table of Silence, and within walking distance of several restaurants and cafes2. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was surprisingly good with fresh coffee and made-to-order options. My room was clean, but not so spacious. Some furnishings felt a bit dated, and the overall cleanliness could be improved in certain areas. If you're not too picky and just need a place to sleep, it’s manageable. Overall, Hotel Palace offers fair value for money, especially if you prioritize location and friendly service over luxury. I’d recommend it for budget-conscious travelers who want to explore Târgu Jiu without breaking the bank.
