I stayed only one night, but I really enjoyed it! For my stay I chose one of the two huts that are by the campsite on the hill, very warm and comfortable during the night. I spent most of the afternoon by the common area on the hill with tables, hammocks, chairs and access to the potable water. For the shower I had to cross the nice vegetable garden an use the common bathrooms by the main structure (towels and soap provided). The structure cook fresh food for every meal, an I suggest stopping by as the quality of the food served is great, and the price very little. All of the vegetables, jams and sauces come from the products of their own garden! During the night I could see the Milky Way, something I would never forget! The accommodation is by the centre of the small village, and close by there is a small shop with a bar.

Crit is a former Saxon village with beautiful old houses,...

Crit is a former Saxon village with beautiful old houses, friendly working people, a fortified church with sheep grazing on the grounds, an Orthodox church, a meandering brook with multiple homemade bridges, a small store and another that seemed to be a restaurant or local bar. There are abundant wildflowers and orchards. Very beautiful, authentic, village where you occasionally see horse-drawn wagons.

Owner made considerable and laudable conservation efforts. Rooms have painted furniture and original items (e.g., dowry chests). Dinner tables are made from old oak beams. There is mostly good taste in renovation and extension choices. The place does not seem children friendly. Yet we had an infant with us and felt very welcome. Host is genuinely affable and amenable (to a point). I wonder why she draws the line where she does, but that is her prerogative. Some guests may find that absurd and/or unacceptable. Breakfast is included and otherwise generous. Upon request, she cooked for us. It was one of the best meals we had in the area! Yes, I am generally impressed both with the property and services. A truly worthwhile Saxonian experience!

Crit is a pretty nice village to visit.

Crit is a pretty nice village to visit. The village is an UNESCO site, and they need to preserve the facades of the buildings just as they were originally, so that's nice to see, because it sort of feels like a trip back in time. If you're looking for a really authentic experience, you should definitely visit it, along with the near by villages as well, like Viscri, Mesendorf, Cloasterf or Saschiz, all really nice, all really well preserved old villages.
