I loved every minute of the stay. Great room with a fantastic view and lovely bathroom, breakfast variety, staff who will do an extra mile. My highlight was the realx area with sauna and massage bed - perfect way to unwind after a hectic day watching the sun sink into the water and having your body and mind pampered. Definitely reccommend!

Great experience overall, the hotel is in a nice area, check in/out is smooth. Staff is friendly. They have early evening parties on the weekend, with a dj, which was nice. Breakfast was good. Decent wifi.

Anchored in Swedish Tradition

Helsingborg is one of Sweden’s oldest cities and is strategically located on the narrowest part of the Öresund strait. The Kärnan tower was part of a Danish fortress which used to control sea traffic, and views from the top stretch to Helsingør on the other side. Today, ferries regularly make the short trip across to Denmark and it is a Helsingborg tradition to have dinner on them, an act known as ’tura’.

Although the port forms much of the attractive waterfront, Helsingborg still has several beaches. One is lined by a wooden boardwalk, and the sandy Tropical Beach is under the shade of palm trees.

Norra Hamnen has been regenerated from a dock to modern yacht marina, overlooked by apartments, restaurants and bars. One of these is in Dunkers Culture House, an arts centre designed by the son of the Sydney Opera House architect.

The town hall clocktower is one of the most prominent landmarks and Kullagatan was the country’s first pedestrian shopping street. Väla is one of Scandinavia’s largest shopping centres and north-west is Sofiero Palace whose beautiful gardens are packed with blooming rhododendrons. In 18th-century Ramlösa Park mineral water springs emerge from red rock.

The bedroom was good and I liked the fact that in the bathroom it had a good magnifying mirror so I could see well when trying to place my contact len! Minor detail I know but things like this do make a small difference. A very nice evening meal with excellent staff in place to take our orders and wait on us.

In the city center and suroundings one can see a lot of flowers and greens which are very beautiful during the springs. The Landskrona is a nice place to visit ( about 25 min driving distance )which is a historic coastal town famous for its fortifications. Sofiero is alao a nice place to go, one can see a variety of inspiring spring flowers in a cultural and historical park and visit the queen's summer residence.

We travel early April to avoid crowds and some reduced fares for hotel and travel. We took a city bus to Sofriea castle and walked back along the beach area, about 5 kms. For some reason my husbands card would not tap for fare to enter bus but driver still allowed him on. The view from the Karnan tower was awesome but the hours were incorrect on the website for its operation. Very pleasant, clean city and less busy that the larger cities like Oslo or Gotheburg. Bus system easy to navigate.

Great little town on the western coast.

Great little town on the western coast. We did the "Kattegattleden" bike trail, of which Helsingborg is the start point - although we'd be back for sure, as we didn't see nearly enough of the city! Beautiful scenery, and lovely little stopovers en route!

Helsingborg is one of our favourite cities in Sweden (we lived there for several years). There is plenty to do in the city, and a thriving food scene. It is a great base for exploring the local area and has frequent ferry connections over to Denmark.

Beautiful city with great diverse architecture. Beautiful and long beach with sand. Many international restaurants. Trips to Denmark from the marina. Nice sights to visit nearby - Mölle. Good spots for panoramic view of the city - Kärnan.

The hotel is in a older building in a good location near the ferry port/train station and easy walking distance to restaurants. The receptionist was friendly and helpful on arrival. Our room was on the 2nd floor and there is a lift. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and well presented and served until 10.30. 11am check out was good. We booked garage space parking which is directly across the street.

This is a real find, located a few minutes walk from train station and ferry and with great parking facilities above (St Nicolai Parkering, you just need to walk down the stairs). Located in an old bank, this hotel has been renovated in style. Modern bathrooms, good beds, and a great breakfast with Nordic specialties and pancakes. And a nice wine bar too. The place to stay in Helsingborg and not too pricey.

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel which is located in several buildings very much. The staff is friendly, breakfasts in the form of a buffet tasty and you can set out for long walks in the area including the seaside which is approximately 0.5 km, maybe a little more than that away, but really worth it. You can also reach the outskirts of Helsingborg on foot easily
