If you want to stay in Sätila, this is this only proper pension in town. The location is right in the centre of Sätila with the bus stop to the Gothenburg-Landvetter airport and Gothenburg city just outside the hotel. There is also a proper bar and restaurant next to the pension. Lake Lygnern and Sätila Church is within walking distance. The room and bathroom are spacious. Everything is clean and proper on arrival. Heating is very good even when the temperature at night falls to -4C. Breakfast comes in a basket and is very generous with bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, butter, jam, orange juice, and much more. I would return to this hotel if I were to visit Sätila. Helena Liljedorff who runs the hotel is very responsive to enquiries.

10/10 Exceptional – Beyond expectation! We had a wonderful 1-night stay at the Yellow House in Skene, Sweden The property is incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable. We absolutely loved the private sauna, the terrace, and the big, peaceful garden. The host was exceptionally friendly, he lives not far from this house and was there in no time whenever requested for. The free parking made things very easy. Very hight speed free WiFi, comfortable beds including bedsheets as its rare in Sweden Highly recommended! We would love to stay here again.

Breakfast was delicious - a buffet with all kinds of extra goodies including traditional Swedish sweets, fresh juice, home-baked breads of two kinds and Swedish crackers. Coffee was strong and plentiful. In addition, the bed was the best of any hotels - as good (better?) than my bed at home. Lydde Gard has had the beds specially made and it is clear by a great night's sleep. There are details everywhere that are thoughtful from the pot of ferns on top of a fiction book on the dining table to the design of room accessories. The room was beautiful and quiet and there was a balcony to sit outside and listen to the rain and a garden for sitting after the rain stopped.

I only arrived at 7pm and left at 3am but the hotel was ideal. I particularly enjoyed the food in the restaurant The hotel was ideally situated to the airport and I think I preferred it to the one in the airport where I stayed last time
