Enough table space in the bathroom to lay things down. 2 power outlets, 1 USB-A and 1 USB-C on every nightstand. Details like bottle opener in bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Shopping street only 1 block away. Lake promenade only 3 blocks away.

Hotel is very well located, 6-7 min pleasant walk from the main railway/bus station, famous Matchstick area and lake; 10-15 min pleasant walk from the university campus; 15 min pleasant walk from shopping area. Staff is rather kind, polite, friendly and helpful (especially the guy at the reception desk in night shift, 2-5 Dec 2025). Vey clean hotel, offering high-quality wi-fi. Comfortable, spacious room, with super-comfy bed and pillows - I had a perfect night-rest! I also adored the gentle scent of the bathroom cosmetics, which was rather pleasant for my skin.
Breakfast and dinner are delicious - great choice and variety of very tasty food. Fika is also very nice touch. However, it is not only about good food. In Home Hotel Victoria, it is even more about the ambient where you eat! Dining area is amazing and I enjoyed the space itself as much as the food. It is previous inner courtyard, that is covered by rather high glass-roof (so you have a kind of feeling like eating under the sky) and excellently decorated.
There was not enough time in my tight business agenda for sauna, but I managed to treat myself once - nice, enjoyable experience.
As for the price and value for money, I do believe it is quite ok for Sweden, although a bit expensive for me personally. If I ever visit Jonkoping again, it would be my pleasure to stay here. Meanwhile, heartful recommendation to other guests!

SwedenThe breakfast was a wonderful surprise! A beautifully laid out buffet with a variety of delicious breads, cheeses and cold cuts, as well as fruit and sliced vegetables, and cereals with yoghurt etc. served in a very bright and welcoming dining area.
Then the rooms are very generous in size with very comfortable beds and en-suite bathroom. What was great was that there was a little fridge so could buy some food and drink to have in the room.
The hotel is very conveniently located, close enough to the main north-south highway, yet far enough away that it was well out of eye and earshot. In fact, the hotel is located in an exceptionally beautiful stretch of undulating countryside. As such it’s an excellent choice as a stopover to break up the drive when traveling long distance, or to stay for a longer spell to explore the area, which has a lot to offer. Definitely drive up to the church in Habo. It really is an exceptionally beautiful structure.

Jönköping is a peaceful city with beautiful scenery, but we found that there were limited attractions and activities for a five-day stay. We visited Vätterstranden Beach, but we didn't swim because the beach and water did not seem very clean, and there were very few people around, so the atmosphere felt a bit quiet and boring for us. Instead, we ended up spending more time at Rosenlundsbadet, which we enjoyed much more. Overall, we think Jönköping is better suited for a short 2–3 day getaway rather than a longer vacation.

Cute and calm town.
Cute and calm town. Not so many tourist attractions in town itself, but very pleasant and friendly place. Everything is in a walkable distance.
I didn't have enough time to enjoy the town itself (business trip, with rather tight agenda), especially having in mind that it was winter and it is getting dark already at 15.30h.
I do believe it is much better to visit it during the summer, when it is possible to enjoy different outdoor activities, and to plan enough time to make short trips to nearby smaller towns/villages.

This is an average size Swedish city situated between two lakes. For international travel it is well connected with Gothenburg by bus and rail. We went there to take compete at IronMan 70.3. It is a very friendly place with lots of locals coming to support athletes like me. Cafe and restaurant prices are very reasonable compare to bigger Swedish cities. Bus and rail fares are quite low.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel.
I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. First, the location was completely unsuitable — it turned out to be in an industrial exhibition area, not at all what I expected. I also paid 30% extra for a balcony room, but the balcony faced a parking and loading area, offering no added value.
Second and most serious, I was charged at the time of booking via Booking.com, but upon arrival, the hotel claimed they hadn’t received the payment and made me pay again. Despite showing proof of the original charge, the staff refused to help and told me to deal with Booking.com myself. I ended up paying twice for a one-night stay.
At checkout, no one took responsibility. Both the hotel and Booking.com admitted they received my money — but neither refunded me. It's now been over a week, and I’ve written and called multiple times with no resolution. I am still waiting to get my money back for the duplicate charge.
The complete lack of support, communication, and accountability from both the hotel and Booking.com is unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel, and I advise travelers to double-check payments and be cautious.

A city full of beauty and culture.
A city full of beauty and culture. My visit was timed with high school Prom season, which is a celebrated event here. Saw some amazing vintage cars during the prom processions.
The food options are phenomenal. As someone with gluten intolerance, I found it a simple process to find good food. Several food festivals happened during my trip, and the flavours were a party in my mouth.
Jönköping is a great jumping-off point to other cities in the region, which are only a bus or train ride away. Great for day tripping. Also, there are plenty of walking trails in the area too.

We stayed in a standard room at Hotel Viktoria and absolutely loved it. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt cozy and warm. We really enjoyed not only the delicious and varied breakfast, but also the tasty dinner and the lovely fika in the afternoon. The hotel has a sauna and a gym. This is a place where we would have liked to stay longer.

The hotel is located in central Jönköping. Matchstick museum, townhall, harbour, lake and central station are all within walking distance.
Staff was friendly and welcoming.
I arrived around 13:30, and they allowed me to check-in early.
Breakfast was good. Many things to choose from, fresh food, just fine.

By comparison to other hotels in the area this was pretty good value and I was only looking for an one night stopover. Hotel is pretty basic but clean comfortable. They have secure underground parking which was important to me as I was touring on my motorbike.
