United StatesThe staff is wonderful, the location, the view, the breakfast, the decor - all sorts of cozy touches. There is even a binder in the room with all sorts of handy tips and information. My friend and I were there for a concert at nearby Dalhalla and I can't wait for an excuse to go back to this hotel and see more of the area.

Rättvik is a nice small friendly town.
Rättvik is a nice small friendly town. Good choice of restaurants for all budgets. There is a market on fridays. The beach is nice, and the pier is impressive. During our stay it was 'Classic Car week,' It was very lively with thousands lining the streets to watch the old American cars on the drive-by parade.
If you have a car, drive to the neighbouring village Tällberg (approx. 4 km south of Rättvik), the view at the top of the village is absolutely stunning.
The small towns of Mora, Leksand and Orsa are also worth a visit.

Rattvik is a small town with lovely bars and restaurants. The lakeside area is beautiful and plenty to do around the lake area either walking down the long pier or enjoying the beach or swimming. Weather was amazing during our stay.

We could have stayed another day. Relaxing summer vacation town. Clean well kept. Quirky shops. Enough food places to offer choice. No fast food outlets which was great. Lovely little Asian restaurant up a side street offered buffet . People queuing for a seat. Brilliant pop up bar with food just outside station. Cinema thought we did not see it. Super helpful tourist information centre. Walkable area . More than suitable for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility. Cannot recommend this town highly enough. We only stayed two nights . That was planned . Went to a fab concert in Dalhalla nearby

Nice small town at the lake. Good beach with shallow water. You can hike, swim, paddle...Good store with a wide range of regional products. Nice restaurants and cafés - the Green Café at the station also has a local arts exhibition. Easy to reach from Stockholm and to discover the area by public transport, train or bus. For example, Mora with its Anders Zorn museum, Nusnäs with the dala horse production, or the shop of the traditional weavery at Insjön.

We had an amazing stay in Rättvik! The location is breathtaking, with an amazing stunning view of the lake that makes for an unforgettable experience. The apartment was spotless, with all the comforts, while the cozy, traditionally styled bedroom added a special touch to the stay. Last but not least, Olaf and Jela were incredibly kind, welcoming, and open-hearted, making us feel right at home. It exceeded our expectations and will be an experience of a lifetime. Highly recommended! Thank you for everything!!!

Perfect location, right by the lake which was perfect for fishing, a 20 minute walk from the centre of Rättvik and also close for Dalhalla which we also went to! And the home itself was beautiful, lovely and quiet and so cosy. Margetha is the best host we've had anywhere, she is so kind and there for anything you need. Look forward to staying here again in the future ☺️

We stayed at Villa Franca Maria for a couple of nights, and we wished we could have stayed longer! Everything from the accommodation to the location was lovely, and the hosts are both very kind and available. If we ever travel back to Sweden we will make sure to book our stay there again! Strongly recommend 🙂
