Located 500 metres from Trelleborg ferry terminal, this charming hotel offers rooms with luxury beds and free Wi-Fi. Parking as well as sauna and hot tub access are free for guests. The staff was fenomenal and the restaurant was top class. The room was very nice and clean. This hotel was very nice experience and I would come back to it on my next visit to Trelleborg.
Situated in Trelleborg, Pensionat Ekorren has a shared lounge, garden, terrace, and free WiFi. The guest house features family rooms. The rooms at the guest house are fitted with a seating area. It is very lovely antique house with comphortable rooms at very calm town place. The owner is a very kind and sweet person, we were very happy, great thanks.
Åkarpsvägen Vacation Home is a lodge, located on the same premises as the host's house, and offers a cosy garden with outodoor furniture and barbecue facilities. The unit is 30 km from Malmö. Very clean, very pretty and very friendly! Correspondence was always perfect and rapid! We can recommend it highly!
Boasting an outdoor pool and a fitness room, Family Holliday on a Farm offers accommodation set in Trelleborg, 44 km from Kastrup. The apartment features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Peter is a very friendly, easy going host. He invited us to use their kitchen in the morning so we could prepare some food for breakfast. The beds are very comfortable. Fridge space in separate guest fridge is available. Peter's three small dogs are very playful and cute. Our kids loved playing with them.
Useful when taking the ferry from North Germany to Sweden. A pleasant town, the southernmost tip of Sweden is worth a short visit. The tourist office near the port was most helpful, especially with details of the areas further afield which were on our itinerary.
It's actually not a bad place. Everybody there is on their way to or from the ferry, but they actually have a cute shopping street, some viking ruins. Nothing to fill a whole day, really, but you can definitely spend an afternoon there having a good time. The Best Western (building) looked pretty appealing (we stayed at Systrar Hostel, see my review) and central. Yes, it is slightly more expensive than Systrar, but Systrar is a disaster. The pubs were nice, the staff and people generally kind and helpful as well. Also, nice seaside if you drive east, outside the city.
Only useful for ferry transits. We arrived in the early morning by ferry, checked in and took the bus to Ystadt for a day trip. Returned to Trelleborg at night, stayed in the hotel and took the ferry back to Travemünde early the next morning. Ystadt in 1 hour away by bus and really worth the trip (€ 20,- for a return ticket). It is a very picturesque little town with nice shops, cafes and restaurants. Plus a pretty marina habour and a lovely beach close by. It is also the hometown of Hening Mankells "Wallander" and you can take a tour to view all sites and places featured in the films and books (which you would probably recognize anyway, if you're a fan).
The history of the town of Trelleborg is interesting, with several older houses in town at walking distance. Be aware that most of the restaurants in Trelleborg closes early on Monday evenings. The two ones we found open after 9 pm were a) a pizzeria, b) a smoky restaurant with fair food (nothing wrong, but not the most delicious food I have eaten). On the other hand, the town itself offers several nice tourist attraction in terms of the historic houses, the old Trelleborg castle and much more. I will definitively go there again!
Trelleborg has little to attract the tourist, but could be a useful stop-over, as it was for us. The town is unappealing, but industry is picking up with the development of the docks. That about sums it up.

A hidden gem in the middle of a beautiful garden full of apple trees. Owners were very kind and helpful; we were able to grab some breakfast even though leaving very early in the morning. The B&B is located conveniently - surrounded by small towns with many opportunities for trips. Moreover, the Trelleborg port is near-by, as well as Malmö city. Thank you for your hospitality, next time we need to stay longer.

Everything in this hotel was good. Staff are very polite and helpful. English language is no problem either. Breakfast has a very wide choice, very tasty and fresh. The whole building is kept very clean and fresh. Situation is prefect for the Ferries, local shops and restaurants. Parking is limited but can be reserved ahead by contacting the hotel directly.

If you're staying the night in Trelleborg for the ferry, then this is easily your best bet for a hotel. The front desk folks were very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable (if a bit warm on this strangely warm summer night).
