The hotel is run by a very welcoming, friendly family. They helped with everything from airport transfer to special requests like earlier breakfast time. They replied in very short time to our messages prior to our stay. The rooms are in a very authentic old building, freshly renovated, well equipped and super clean. It is a nice touch that other than the usual food, the breakfast includes local continental delicacies made by the family. The location is in a few minutes walking distance from the centre of Avanos with many restaurants and stores nearby. Historic places like Goreme is also only 10 minutes away with cheap taxi services or regular buses. The two little cute puppies who live on the property were the cherry on top! I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

- room very clean and comfortable, modern which isn't always true in Turkiye. - cheap in comparison to alternatives -staff very nice. the owner drove us to see the balloons at 5am free of charge since we had no car. also offered to book us a tour with 0 commission -location is good within Avanos which is well connected to Goreme and Uchisar by bus. People might try to tell you there's no buses and to rent a car/bike/tour/taxi, ignore them, the buses are fine and 10x cheaper. -breakfast extensive -good for dog enjoyers (but not a problem if not)

We have enjoyed our stay. The suite is tastefully decorated, bed was comfortable, shower pressure was good and nice to have a complete homemade turkish breakfast everyday. Avanos was a great base for us to explore cappadocia, especially when you have a car - less traffic and with everything we need within walking distance (from good restaurants, cafe, supermarkets, atm, bakery to turkish ice cream). We booked the room very last minute due to unforeseeable circumstances and she was available to let us check in within 15min.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Mira Cappadocia hotel. From start to finish the service was excellent. Prior to arrival the hotel kindly arranged all the activities I had requested and the airport transfer, which was paid for during our stay. The owner was kind, friendly and attentive, as were all the staff. They could not have done more to make sure we were looked after. The activities we booked were varied and were fun and informative. The facilities were spot on. Lovely clean and comfortable rooms with all the basics you would need. The rooms were tastefully decorated and there were nice outdoor sitting areas. The breakfast room was on the top floor and had a fantastic view over the town. There is a terrace also which makes an ideal viewing point for watching the famous Cappadocia hot air balloons. The breakfast was delicious and so filling. It set us up perfectly for the day ahead and what we couldn’t finish was offered to be packed up for us to take with us. The area itself is really nice with plenty of activities within easy reach by car. The town is within easy reach on foot. We didn’t have a lot of time spare to explore all of it but there are plenty of shops, cafes/restaurants, and a lovely riverside where we noticed there are gondola type boats that you can go out on the river in, probably in the right seasons (we visited mid March). If we return to Cappadocia we will definitely stay at Mira Cappadocia and highly recommend it. :)

I stayed at Suhan during my recent visit to Avanos, and it was an excellent experience overall. The check-in was smooth, and the staff were very welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. My room was spacious, clean, and well equipped with everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel facilities — especially the spa and swimming pool — were great places to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was rich in variety and taste, offering both local and international options. The restaurant staff were polite and provided quick service. The location is also perfect, close to the main attractions of Cappadocia yet quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful rest. Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-managed hotel that I’d definitely recommend to both business and leisure travelers. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Cappadocia.

It is a lovely small town next to Goreme (famous for the hot air balloon rides and pointed rock structures) so its a short ride away with none of the hustle and bustle of a touristy town. It has many local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, to eat at without breaking the bank. There is a promenade with on the river with jungle gyms and play areas for little kids. And fishing is also possible from the banks of the river.

The town is very beautiful and traditional.

The town is very beautiful and traditional. Most people speak very little English and most restaurants do not have menus in English. I personally love this and it was so nice to stay here for a few days and experience authentic Turkish culture. There is a beautiful river and an old town that comes alive at nighttime. It’s so much less touristy than Goreme and I would recommend for people wanting to avoid the crowds. So many pottery’s around and beautiful handmade items. I would have liked to explore the area more but it was a 40° heatwave so hiking was off the list.

Perfect ambiance gives you a homely feeling away from home and our host Nazlim who owns the property was extremely helpful and always available to help with ideas of exploring the city to arranging cabs with reasonable prices you will not just fall in love with the city but with this place too, away from hectic life and daily hustle to experience the serenity Adonos Konuk is your place. Prob not as busy or touristy as the other options in...

Prob not as busy or touristy as the other options in Kapadocia. but still easy to get to the other towns to see all the historic sites etc. beautiful river flowing thru the middle of town, with all these lovely geese, ducks, water birds. lovely to stroll around - up little pathways, hidden coffee shops, Pottery shops and restos and quick food places - depending on your budget. I cannot wait to get back here. we stayed 3 days, need at least a week.

Avanos is perfectly located for exploring many of Cappadacia's most spectacular sites, and feels like an authentic town instead of tourist trap. We spent 4 nights there and 3 full days exploring by car, and these are some of our favorite places (all reachable within 15-20min drive): 1/Zelve Open Air Museum, 2/ Pasabag Valley, 3/ Love Valley, 4/ Ortahisar Castle, 5/Uchisar Castle... Boutique hotels, like Haci Asik Konagi, are wonderful places and well worth the money. The new BigShefs restaurant on the river was our favorite place for dinner. Avanos also is the place where you find the Chez Galip pottery store/workshop. Cappadocia is famous for its pottery, but what we saw at Chez Galip is in a class of its own. (Another such store is Yastik’s in Goreme, where we found unique pillow cushions from authentic vintage materials).

Avanos is super close by to all the highlights of Capadoccia, the city at the edge of the mountains is guarded by Turkey's longest river and is an amazing option to stay at while exploring the landscapes and hitching a ride on one of the hot air balloons!

Quiet location Quality fittings throughout Breakfast good This location is about a€5 taxi from Goreme, which can be super busy. So this location was a haven to come home to each night Great location for watching the passing ballon’s in the morning with rock formation behind hotel that after a short climb provides a spectacular view Parking is a bonus and staff go out of their way to please Have no hesitation in recommending

Though I was travelling for working purposes, the kindness, the readyness of the staff to help in any matter, the atmosphere at the hotel made me want to come here once again. this time for leisure purposes. The hotel was very clean, comfy and the food was very tasty. Especially, I'd like to mention newly opened Kebabi restaurant at the hotel's pool. Generally, Suhan hotel deserves all 10 points here.

Staying at this hotel during our short getaway to Avanos was a wonderful decision. Waking up to the sound of birds and feeling the calm atmosphere of the town was truly relaxing. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming we felt just like at home. The breakfast with local products was delicious. This is definitely the perfect spot for those looking for peace, nature, and a cozy ambiance.

Sana was a great host, available for any question and with a lot of suggestions and information about the area. The room was big, very comfortable and clean and the location is in Avanos city center, where you have everything at hand by foot. Every attraction in Cappadocia is easily reachable. The breakfast was different every day, complete and tasty. Would repeat and recommend it!
