Avanos is away from the more commercialised centres In Cappadocia and perfect for us. The accommodation has the pleasant Red River right at the doorstep. The old town centre is a 5min walk and the people are very friendly. The ambiance and location is perfect. The owners are very helpful. We are grateful that they arranged a Ballon Flight for us prior to our arrival. The extraordinary experience is a ‘must do’. We would highly recommend staying here.

I went with my partner a couple days to Kapadokya and the hotel was amazing and perfect for what we needed, a great value for money, we got the room with the spa which was super nice to enjoy, turkish breakfast was very nice, and staff was super helpful with everything we needed, location was also very good and easy to move around walking by

Attila is the best host, always available and at your service, we were a big group with a lot of requests, the hotel is in a great place, very close to the center of Avanos, there is parking, the rooms are with terraces, maybe small but they have everything you need, the breakfast was ok, with a lot of salad, he even prepared a Turkish evening just for our group, all the best.

We had a fantastic stay at the Mira Cappadocia Hotel! It's a real hidden gem in Avanos, a lovely town by the river and just a short drive from the busier places like Goreme, Uchisar, and Urgup. The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Our room was big, spotless, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the terrace; perfect for relaxing with a drink and enjoying the view. Breakfast was amazing too, with lots of tasty options.

First off, I did NOT expect to love that hotel that much. From being literally in front of the bus station that leaves from Kayseri bus station my clueless ass surviving this trip with Google Translate couldn't have found anything better. As if the location wasn't enough, there was a gym 5 minutes away (Cappa Gym), so of course I HAD to hit new PRs on the bench and squat. Why not? Just when you think it's enough, I walked another 10 minutes to Avanova Cafe Restaurant, which (at the time I went) offered 36 flavors of hookah. It's beautiful by night you can sit next to the river with lights illuminating everything: the streets, the river, and maybe your soul. As if that wasn't enough, there's a shuttle that picks you up at 4:15 AM to take you to the hot air balloons. I don't even have a friend who would pick me up at that hour. Now about the hotel itself, it's simply beautiful. The interior design is worth taking photos of maybe even to make an ex jealous. This is one of those rare times where I can truly say I felt at home. The breakfast food was made with love (I mean, it was good). And there's a digital timer and digital thermometer in the shower . I live in Canada, we're supposed to be eco‑friendly, and I've never seen that. The staff were so friendly and thoughtful. My only regret is not being able to afford to quit my job and stay longer. Rating: 10/10

It is a lovely small town next to Goreme (famous for the hot air balloon rides and pointed rock structures) so its a short ride away with none of the hustle and bustle of a touristy town. It has many local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, to eat at without breaking the bank. There is a promenade with on the river with jungle gyms and play areas for little kids. And fishing is also possible from the banks of the river.

The town is very beautiful and traditional. Most people speak very little English and most restaurants do not have menus in English. I personally love this and it was so nice to stay here for a few days and experience authentic Turkish culture. There is a beautiful river and an old town that comes alive at nighttime. It’s so much less touristy than Goreme and I would recommend for people wanting to avoid the crowds. So many pottery’s around and beautiful handmade items. I would have liked to explore the area more but it was a 40° heatwave so hiking was off the list.

Beautiful peaceful, and calm place to spend your holiday. Perfect ambiance gives you a homely feeling away from home and our host Nazlim who owns the property was extremely helpful and always available to help with ideas of exploring the city to arranging cabs with reasonable prices you will not just fall in love with the city but with this place too, away from hectic life and daily hustle to experience the serenity Adonos Konuk is your place. Prob not as busy or touristy as the other options in Kapadocia. but still easy to get to the other towns to see all the historic sites etc. beautiful river flowing thru the middle of town, with all these lovely geese, ducks, water birds. lovely to stroll around - up little pathways, hidden coffee shops, Pottery shops and restos and quick food places - depending on your budget. I cannot wait to get back here. we stayed 3 days, need at least a week.

Avanos is perfectly located for exploring many of Cappadacia's most spectacular sites, and feels like an authentic town instead of tourist trap. We spent 4 nights there and 3 full days exploring by car, and these are some of our favorite places (all reachable within 15-20min drive): 1/Zelve Open Air Museum, 2/ Pasabag Valley, 3/ Love Valley, 4/ Ortahisar Castle, 5/Uchisar Castle... Boutique hotels, like Haci Asik Konagi, are wonderful places and well worth the money. The new BigShefs restaurant on the river was our favorite place for dinner. Avanos also is the place where you find the Chez Galip pottery store/workshop. Cappadocia is famous for its pottery, but what we saw at Chez Galip is in a class of its own. (Another such store is Yastik’s in Goreme, where we found unique pillow cushions from authentic vintage materials).

This hotel is quite new and rooms are really nice, clean with cave looking style. All the furniture is very comfortable. Breakfast was great with variety of food. We had to add additional bed to our room and staff was great and helped us with that. Things that can be improved: AC, bathroom to have sealed door for more privacy, some mirror maybe. But overall we really liked the hotel, staff and the location. Would highly recommend to stay in this hotel when you are in Cappadocia!

New hotel opened up, good breakfast, incredible to have a hot tub in room, 5 star suite for a steal. Would thoroughly recommend. Easy parking. Good access to all of Cappadocia.
