The staff was very friendly and helpful but there were some stressful moments due to the fact that I had to change rooms, my flight was delayed and so it was really tough at times. I really liked that my room was cleaned every day upon request. The location was great for the price.

The location was amazing, there were shops and restaurants nearby including Whole Foods, and it was very walkable and well-connected. I loved that the hotel had common area and offered free tea and coffee in the morning. It also offered free tours with their partner company but we overslept these))

Staff was extremely helpful. The women at the front desk help to locate places to eat and gave us tips on how to get there. Danny Lam the Front Office Manager assisted me when my Uber Driver canceled by locating another driver and I was on my way in four minutes. The women who cleaned were very efficient .

FAQs about hotels in Brooklyn

The Giant of New York

Immortalized in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were its own city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!

The borough is connected to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It's also connected to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the northeast, Brooklyn Bridge Park has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while southeast is the huge Prospect Park.

On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighboring Queens.

At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Renovations are underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden roller coaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.

Cheap Brooklyn hotels are great alternatives to accommodations in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.

Walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, fantastic experience. Ate at Juliana's pizza, totally recommend that. Stayed in lower Williamsburg, nothing going on there, would not recommend. Neighborhood was dirty, garbage on the streets and absolutely no restaurants or night life.

We visit our daughter who lives in Brooklyn, and when the 4 of us are all together, her 1 Bedroom apartment is too small to accommodate us. Brooklyn has a great vibe, and is welcoming to people of all ages. We love walking or biking in Prospect Park and seeing the hustle and bustle of the crowds surrounding Barclays Center.

Enjoyed the free Ferry in Staten Island.

Enjoyed the free Ferry in Staten Island. You don't get up close to the SOL but zoom in with your camera & take pics. The bus tour "The Ride" was good, guides were very knowledgeable. Ate at "The Boil", seafood, had the lobster/shrimp boil, it was great! Also ate at "Footprints" Jamaican restaurant, had the Rasta Pasta w/oxtails (1st time having oxtails), it was very good as well. They have live music on weekends, great variety of food & music. Good variety of food around the area. Getting around is alien to me as I am from NC, you don't get anywhere fast in NY....it's public transportation, taxi or uber (did all of them) .... a lot of waiting/a lot of money.

There is much to see in Brooklyn. My ancestors on both sides were from Brooklyn, so when I go there, I am mesmerized! From trying to find their former houses, to going to Prospect Park, it's all fun to me.

We were surprised how expensive New York hotels have become but we eventually found Henry Norman in Brooklyn and found it to be a real treat. The hotel offers a low cost very acceptable breakfast and although no evening restaurant, the Brooklyn area is plastered with cheap, very good takeaways which although not the Ritz were safe, fun and even quirky.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, with lots of choice including the option to make your own fresh waffles. Only 5 minutes from downtown Brooklyn and about 10/15 minutes walk to Dumbo and the Brooklyn bridge. The area surrounding the hotel was always busy as it's on a main road, so it always felt safe.
