Located in Dubois, Lava Mountain Lodge features a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi. Featuring an ATM, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Great western motel and staff. Closer to the Parks. Came in late for dinner but the folks in there were happy having fun. Desk staff professional, personal, and helpful. Will definitely be back.
Located in Dubois, Rocky Mountain Lodge features a garden. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Very nice comfortable and cosy room appropriate for family of 4. Good location. Its 1,5 hours from Yellowstone, its only about 15-20 min longer than going from Jackson. But 1. Prices in Jackson and even in Dubois are kuch hugher. 2. Road to Dubois from Yellowstone is a part of Wyomong scenic route and its very beautiful. It would be great to have a brewed coffee at lodge in mornings but there is cafe woring from 6am.
Located half a mile from the National Bighorn Sheep Center, this downtown Dubois motel features a seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub on site. Free Wi-Fi is provided. The customer service was excellent, we arrived late in the night and he left us the keys in an envelope even that the place was closed.
The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort is located in Dubois. Free WiFi access is available. Torrey Lake is 15 minutes’ drive from the motel. One of not too many hotels/motels where you actually get your own back door :-) Great staff. It is a perfect place if you like it quiet and cozy. Perfect location after a day at Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.
Offering free Wi-Fi in rooms, this Dubois, Wyoming motel is a 30 minute drive to the entrance of Teton National Forest. Golfing opportunities at Antelope Hills Golf Course is a 5 minute drive away. We had done a lot of driving and sightseeing this day and after nearly 500 miles of Wyoming roadways, we were greeted by a lovely woman with a warm and welcoming smile and personality. The hotel is wrapping up some renovation in a few rooms and there was no distractions from the work. The workers completed by 5 p.m. The room was spacious (114) and warm, overlooking the roadway that had only a trickle of traffic (this was the end of April--the off season). The town is small and funky and worth investigating. We woke to a good 1.5-2 inches of Wyoming Wonder Powder Snow which melted off before we hit the road to Jackson. NOTE: Should you drive towards Jackson, the road there is well designed and maintained. It is rather interesting after a snow storm though! Enjoy your stay here!
If i knew i would be staying in a cabin not in a room the way you've shown in the accommodation. 1 night or never at all stayed there. Look at the picture shown at the website it says room not a cabin. The amenities shown in the picture is different from what we booked.
Hard to tell, nothing was open........people were ok not overly friendly.......I live in western Colorado folks are much more friendly here.......I'm used to small towns and I normally really like Wyoming, however places like Casper and Buffalo and Sheridan are nicer......
Dubois is small but has a lot of offer. We enjoyed the pizza from Noom and they had a great selection of beers, even some from our home state of WI! The grocery store was well stocked and had everything you could want which is a perk in a small town. The park by the Big Horn Sheep Museum was our favorite place to take our dog for some exercise. Also, visit the Big Horn Sheep Museum! We stayed at the Longhorn Ranch due to its great reviews but wouldn't go back. Driving through the mountains close by we saw lots of mule deer, a black bear, and even some moose! We will definitely be back to track down some elk and bighorn sheep! We look forward to staying at Crooked Creek Ranch, which has the best burgers, and checking out more of the shops in Dubois in the future! Just do all your researching beforehand because we had no cell reception unless we were connected to wifi.
I enjoy Dubois every year I go ! Everyone in town in all the shops are pleasant to talk with. The Cowboy Cafe is amazing and the food is excellent. I just wish they had more steak houses . The country is so beautiful, the lakes and rivers , creeks are fun to fish. Always advise other visitors to keep a close watch out for the bears in the area and out in the country.
Dubois is a quaint, old west town. I don't think it has one fast food restaurant chain. The people are friendly and helpful, the scenery is beautiful and the weather is pleasant. We ate at the Cowboy Cafe, where the food was great.
Dubois is a small wonderful town in between the mountains. There are some real nice restaurants and few good bars. The group Of 14 HD riders had a great time here. Unfortunately given our tight agenda had to leave town next day. Be it with a headache due to too many beers and shots.
