Room was nice and perfect for what we needed

Everything is just great for families: from the availability of staff and the little pool to the careful way the cleaners deal with the children's stuffed toys.

The hotels service customer service representation and employees operate and presume their employed work studies with impeccable excellence.

It's always a pleasure to come back to this hotel. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and we still love it. I recommend this hotel whether you are a couple or a family. Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean hotel, basic breakfast included in the price and 2 steps from the express metro line to Manhattan. Thank you to the hotel staff who responded to all our requests, room location, baby bed, etc... For our next stay in Manhattan we will choose this hotel again without hesitation.

Amazing hotel, close to New York City. Very comfortable and cosy

First time at NYC with my husband, we really loved the hotel! Clean, colourful and quiet, near the metro station.

I loved everything about Hotel Lucerne. The location is amazing. There are convenient stores just across the streets. The hotel is so retro but so well maintained. Best of all it had a gym! We also had to request a fridge and it was free of charge.

We were in a King Suite for a family of four. The bedroom is spacious for two adults and the sofa bed is perfect for two kids. We stayed for nearly two weeks so the kitchen in very important for us. It’s not very big but has everything we need including stove, baking oven, fridge, microwave and utensils. The location is perfect too, safe neighbourhood, walking distance to two supermarkets, Central Park and the American Museum of Natural History. There is also a river side park nearby where kids can ride bikes or scooters there.

Bed was comfortable Room a good size Staff in restaurant were excellent

Highly recommend! The location is exquisite and such a comfortable hotel.

Room dark - needed extra light which was quickly provided

A value for money choice 25 minutes away from Manhattan (Port Authority) by bus. The breakfast is a very convenient amenity given the high prices on everything in Manhattan. Very clean and spacious room.

Very new and clean hotel with a really comfortable bed and great shower. The two ladies at the front desk were so nice and friendly, and even had our room ready although we arrived early. Very convenient for Columbia University, about a 15 minute walk or one subway stop. Highly recommend!

Staff were very friendly and helpful when I had to notify them of noisy people having an all-night party in the room next door.

Exceptional Stay – Perfect Honeymoon in New York! We are a family of four (two adults and two small children, 6 and 2 years old) who spent our honeymoon in New York, and this hotel made it truly unforgettable! First of all, the location in Harlem should not deter anyone — this is part of New York’s character, and travelers know what to expect. The hotel itself is only a 5-minute walk from the 125th St subway station, which made exploring the city super easy. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The entrance was always staffed by elegantly dressed doormen who greeted us warmly, opened the doors, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The lobby was spotless, beautifully designed, and felt very upscale. The check-in experience was exceptionally friendly — we immediately felt at home. A nice surprise: as many other reviews mention, you receive a $25 daily credit to use at the hotel’s bar or restaurant. The cocktails and food were excellent — absolutely worth it! When we entered our room, we were overwhelmed by how beautifully it was prepared for our honeymoon. The staff had thoughtfully acknowledged our special occasion, and even our children were included in the welcome — it touched us deeply. Housekeeping did a wonderful job throughout our stay. We had quite a bit of clothing and luggage (traveling with kids!), and yet the room was kept perfectly clean. The layout was smart and space-efficient, which is completely normal for New York, but everything we needed was there. We also appreciated the complimentary to-go coffee in the lobby each morning and the infused lemon water offered at midday — small touches that made a big difference. Everywhere we went in the hotel, everything was spotless. On our last day, the porters helped us with our luggage and kindly stored it until our departure later in the afternoon. They were so attentive and professional — just like the rest of the staff. Overall, we were completely satisfied with our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Harlem Flophouse. It had so much character, and was also incredibly comfortable and clean. It was very conveniently located (only a short walk from Central Park, and also close to some nice coffee shops and restaurants). The room was beautifully decorated and we loved arriving to some soft jazz being played on the radio as the afternoon sun poured through the windows. We attended one of the bi-weekly live music sessions, which was brilliant, and overall had a great stay. Would very much recommend it as a base for any trip to NYC.

The staff was very Nice and welcoming. The bed was so comfy and we had a great view of NY. This hotel was close to Yankee stadium and 16 minutes from our dinner reservations so it was perfect, i would definitely stay here again.

Good location good staff very clean
